[Bug 1224184] Re: libgdal1-dev should depend on libcurl-ssl-dev

[Bug 1232800] [NEW] read_json does not compile with C++11

2013-09-29 Thread Pierrick
Public bug reported:

Dear,

due to a known bug in boost 1.49,
https://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/ticket/6785
read_json does not compile with C++11.

According to the Debian bug report,
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=689600
The 1.49 package as been update with the fix.

It seems the update was not forwarded in Ubuntu repositories.
Best,

[Bug 1050242] [NEW] Xorg freeze

2012-09-13 Thread Pierrick
Public bug reported:

System freeze, while just using Google Chrome on 5-6 websites (including Gmail,
no WebGL, no Flash)
no CTRL+ALT+F* effect, even ALT+Syst+REISUB does not react.
Had to *hard* reboot (5s power button)...

Thanks for any help.

[Bug 1050242] Re: Xorg freeze

2012-09-13 Thread Pierrick
Forget about the REISUB not working, I might have mistyped it.
(On some laptops SysRq is accessible only by pressing 'Fn'. In this case the
combination is a bit trickier: hold 'Alt', hold 'Fn', hold 'SysRq', release
'Fn', press key.)

Re: [Bug 993187] Re: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently.

2012-08-16 Thread Pierrick
I checked in my syslog after many complete freeze (CTRL+ALT+Fx not
reacting), and i found this line for the 3rd time:

Aug 16 13:17:01 pierriko-dell CRON[10776]: (root) CMD (   cd /  run-parts
--report /etc/cron.hourly)

at the time of the freeze, but I've nothing in my crontab:

$ crontab -l
no crontab for pierriko
$ ll /etc/cron.hourly
total 20
drwxr-xr-x   2 root root  4096 Jul 11 15:08 ./
drwxr-xr-x 147 root root 12288 Aug 16 13:29 ../
-rw-r--r--   1 root root   102 Apr  2 15:28 .placeholder
$ cat /etc/cron.hourly/.placeholder
# DO NOT EDIT OR REMOVE
# This file is a simple placeholder to keep dpkg from removing this
directory

Any idea?

Here is 3 line of my syslog where the 2nd one is blocking:

Aug 16 12:38:33 pierriko-dell dhclient: bound to 192.168.1.36 -- renewal in
2821 seconds.# --- normal DHCP renewal
Aug 16 13:17:01 pierriko-dell CRON[10776]: (root) CMD (   cd /  run-parts
--report /etc/cron.hourly)   # --- time of freeze
Aug 16 13:25:34 pierriko-dell dhclient: DHCPREQUEST of 192.168.1.36 on
wlan0 to 192.168.1.1 port 67  # --- time of reboot

I also encountered the same problem with Ant and Eclipse, but I have a
temporary solution: I use Ant in the terminal (after sudo apt-get
install ant).
