[Bug 1969849] [NEW] Evolution crashes when viewing certain emails
Public bug reported: I just upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 (using do-release-upgrade -d), and evolution segfaulted when I opened it. Playing around a little, I found it doesn't happen to all emails. When run from the terminal I see the following warning displayed several times before it segfaults: e_web_view_process_uri_request: Cannot find handler for scheme 'evo-https' ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.04 Package: evolution 3.44.0-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.15.0-25.25-generic 5.15.30 Uname: Linux 5.15.0-25-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu82 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Thu Apr 21 16:39:04 2022 InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-04-29 (722 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-MATE 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20200423) SourcePackage: evolution UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to jammy on 2022-04-21 (0 days ago) ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug jammy wayland-session -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969849 Title: Evolution crashes when viewing certain emails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1969849/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1938716] [NEW] Evolution crashes intermittently
Public bug reported: I am not sure exactly what triggers it, but I found it usually happens when I select a new email to preview. I have been experiencing these crashes for quite some time now, but I haven't been able to find the error message displayed, and when I ran evolution from the terminal it seemed to be more stable. Today, finally, it crashed after running it from the terminal, so I was able to see the error message: dbus[628677]: arguments to dbus_message_new_method_call() were incorrect, assertion "destination == NULL || _dbus_check_is_valid_bus_name (destination)" failed in file ../../../dbus/dbus-message.c line 1364. [Bug 402892] Re: Mouse cursor gets stuck in "drag and drop" mode
I discovered a way to consistently trigger this. I don't know if all these steps are necessary, but it works for me consistently this way. Configuration: - Ubuntu MATE 20.10 - caja version 1.24.0 - Evolution version 3.38.1-1 Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Evolution, open the 'Compose Message' window. I have it set by default to 'Plain Text' editing mode, and attachment bar collapsed. 2. Open caja and navigate to the desired file. 3. drag & drop the file in the message body. This should result in the full file path URI being displayed as the message. 4. press `CTRL+Z` (Undo). 5. Now drag the same file again, over the message body, into the (collapsed) attachment bar. 6. Your mouse should now be stuck in DND mode, requiring `pkill caja` to release it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/402892 Title: Mouse cursor gets stuck in "drag and drop" mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/402892/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
