For now I have uninstalled ubuntu. I will try that once I reinstall it.

[Bug 1754814] [NEW] Touchaod not working

General information:
1. Laptop- lenovo ideapad 520
2. Touch-pad manufacturer - Elan
3. When the symptom first occurred - 1st February 2018. (10 days ago)

Problem description:
I am using ubuntu 16.04LTS and after a week of installing it using dual boot 
the touch-pad stopped working.
I followed the steps provided at here-

My case is : touch-pad does not work at all from the list

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Patch added: "Files with names dmesg, devices and Xorg.0.log are provied in 
the compressed folder"
