Re: [Bug 1887253] Re: OpenVPN client cannot be added in Networks in Ubuntu 20.04

2020-07-16 Thread Raad Nashmi
Hi Sebastion,
I tried setting up the vpn with nm-connection-editor and still was not able
to add a vpn. This time the "Save" button was greyed out. In the terminal
it gave an error message "Cannot save connection due to error: Invalid
setting VPN: ca: No certificate set." In Ubuntu 18.04 I was able to
connect to vpn by setting the certificate to none. But in 20.04, this is
not the case. Is this the issue? I also attach a screenshot.
Thank you for your help.

2020-07-16 Thread Raad Nashmi
Hi Sebastien,
Thank you for your help.
I attach a screenshot.
Authentication type is "Password". I do not show my actual user name. For
Password I selected "Ask for this password every time." For CA certificate
I selected "None",
In Ubuntu 20.04 for vpn setup the "Add" button is greyed out and I cannot
select it after inputting all the settings. For Ubuntu 18.04 there were no
issues setting up a VPN.
I will try nm-connection-editor.
Thanks.

Dear Lucas,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate it.
As far as the config file, what directory would it be in and what is the
name of the config file? That way I know which file I can send.
Thanks for your help.

[Bug 1778433] [NEW] stimfit not working in Ubuntu 18.04

2018-06-24 Thread Raad Nashmi
Public bug reported:

Hi,
First thank you for making such a great software such as stimfit available to
the cummunity!
Stimfit was working fine on Ubuntu 16.04. However, it is no longer working on
Ubuntu 18.04. The problem is that it does not start and I get the following
error message:
"../src/common/object.cpp(251): assert "classTable->Get(m_className) == NULL"
failed in Register(): Class "wxCommandEvent" already in RTTI table - have you
used IMPLEMENT_DYNAMIC_CLASS() multiple times or linked some object file
twice)?"
I get the identical error message on three other computers loaded with Ubuntu
18.04. I would appreciate any help in this matter.
Thank you so much!

[Bug 1769303] [NEW] scidavis package not in bionic repository

2018-05-05 Thread Raad Nashmi
Public bug reported:

Hi,
In my opinion scidavis is the best free and open source data visualization
program out there. Scidavis was available in the Ubuntu repository for 16.04
and 17.10. However, it does not appear to be available in the Ubuntu 18.04LTS
repository. This is odd because I did see scidavis the latest version 1.22-1
in Ubuntu launchpad (launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/scidavis/1:1.22-1).
Is there anything I can do to help make scidavis 1.22-1 available in Ubuntu
18.04 repository or is it too late?
Thanks,
Raad Nashmi
