Yes, I still see this in 6.06. One correction for the steps above: 'mail/test' should be just 'test'. Basically, as long as a file is opened for reading on the client machine, its content and attributes are not updated, even if it changes on the server. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver I noticed this in Ubuntu 6.06: if the theme has background patterns (pixmaps), for example Smokey Blue, selecting Blank Screen in gnome- screensaver does not make the screen blank when the screensaver starts, but instead the background pattern is displayed.
