I have my Secondary Disk mounted under /Data and I have videos and music
in the directory. none of my installed snaps can see this directory no
matter what. I think this bug should not be marked as fix released.

appreciate it, However I think it is worth a try. I think it is more of
Nvidia screwing with us rather than we creating problems for ourselves,
It is like a chicken and and egg situation, You enable nvidia-
drm.modeset=1 and then
I have nvidia-drm.modeset=1 enabled on my Install, and I have an NVME
Drive for main Operating System, I can still see the animation, may be
my system is booting slower than it should ?

Did a Fresh Install today, and Selected the option to automatically install
proprietary drivers, Something changed and my Installation Failed, I got a
message saying that there was already a bug for that, I followed along and
updated my situation in that bug report, because why not, It is just

Fresh install with proprietary driver’s installation check box ticked
worked fine till I rebooted again and then I could not get into the
desktop. All drivers installed fine but one reboot later things were
back to being unable to login. So I did a chroot and removed splash from
grub command line

Update :- After using Kernel 3.19 for a while I received a Kernel Update to
Kernel 4.2 Now I am running kernel 4.2.0-18-generic
Now everything seems to work. I have the same hardware as Benedikt . Lenovo
z50-70 Laptop. I am running Ubuntu 15.10. I have had no success with Kernel 4.3.
Now with
Update :- Downgrading to Kernel 3.19.8-031908-generic solves the problem for
me. Not sure what is wrong. Any of the 4.X Series Kernels won't work for me.
I am on a Lenovo Z50 Laptop. Now with Kernel 3.19.8-031908-generic my system is
working great. No error whatsoever. Hope this helps.

The issue seems with generating the correct Xorg-Configuration file. I
tried using nvidia-xconfig however it never got to a point where it
could generate a correct and working Xorg.conf file. Following #15 and

sudo ./amd-insaller-x-x-x-x-x.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/trusty
Then patch the FGLRX-CORE deb file as per instructions give by per terje
Here is what I did
Just like Bertram (bertram-q) ..
1) edit the file
/etc/default/grub
replace
GRUB_DEFAULT=0
With
GRUB_DEFAULT=1
2) sudo update-grub
3) Reboot
Issue fixed.
