I uninstalled libgl1-mesa-dev and libglu1-mesa-dev.
installed the sdl dev packages and then installed the mesa-dev packages.
problem solved.

control application. Transmission itself works, but I can't control it

tested before do-release-upgrade, by rebooting, and checking kernel

bugfix between 2.15 and 2.19 appears to tackle this bug. The
dependencies of 2.19 are satisfied by Ubuntu 10.04. This bug hasn't gone
