I've installed updated to 17.10 on my Dell XPS 13 with Nvidia GT960M and
have the issue where no wayland session is presented. I'm happy to do

Thanks for the response. The xorg-edgers ppa was the one I suspected too
but purging that didn't help. I had to remove all the packages installed
from the intel linux driver repo too. I have managed to upgrade now but
unfortunately unity does not load at all. I'll have a look around at the
boot err

With a fully up to date 13.04 system update manager fails to update. I
am going to try purging some ppas to see if this fixes the problem.
