Hi Managed to resolve this. As it was always linked to pop up menus it seemed to be a graphics issue. My IT support was able to identfy that this was the problem and change graphics card mode. Sorry can't tell you any more as I was out of the room. Regards -- You received this bug notification

Public bug reported: Libreoffice calc starts fine from dash or terminal However if you go to sort data, the pop up menu is very corrupted and after a few seconds system crashes and returns to log in screen. Logging in is like from boot with no open files/programmes saved. This is reproducible
