This is still an issue for me on Ubuntu 18.04. Can mount iPhone 5 via
Nautilus but it doesn't show on Rhythmbox or Banshee.

I seem to have found a fix:

Under File - Printer Settings - Properties - Device

Change language to Postscript (level from driver)

Libre Office then prints duplex. The trouble is I can't see a way to
make the change permanently - I have to set it each time I want to
print.

I see a scrambled login screen during login, but no info from previous
sessions. It has been like this since I upgraded from Lucid a few weeks
ago.
