[Bug 1314367] Re: Flickering with Ubuntu 14.04 and nvidia card reappeared

2014-05-27 Thread Robert Massaioli
I am pretty sure that I am being affected by this bug too so I made a
screen recording of what I am seeing: http://youtu.be/p-iBqNlGhMI

Symptoms include:

 * Flickering when I have two google chrome windows open. It flickers between
the two.
 * Other programs showing on top of others when I change XMonad viewports.

I am more that happy to try and work with somebody to figure out what is
going on but I don't really know where to start.

2011-08-18 Thread Robert Massaioli
I am getting this exact same problem happening on my system. I do not
know how to pinpoint it though. I am going to be tracking this problem
down as long as I can to solve it. I am more than happy to give any
developer help in solving this issue as I am a developer myself but not
one that works on Ubuntu.

[Bug 509631] [NEW] No Bash Completion

2010-01-19 Thread Robert Massaioli
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: powermanagement-interface

This project does not have any bash completion. Please make the file
'debian/powermanagement-interface.bash-completion' and place the
following line in it:

bash-completion/pmi

The in the top directory level of the package 'mkdir bash-completion'
and place the attached file inside it and rebuild. You will also need to
add 'dh_bash-completion' to the debian/rules file at the bottom of the
'install' rule.

Do that and you will have bash completion for the pmi binary. Maybe
somebody else, or myself will make the other bash completion script
sometime soon.

These three files should be placed in debian/ and then 'dh_installman'
added after 'dh_strip' in the debian/rules file for the man pages to be

or man8 so could somebody please check that for me? Currently they are
.1 so man1.

[Bug 473680] Re: libogg.la should not be included

2009-12-10 Thread Robert Massaioli
I believe that this bug has been solved in lucid. Please see here
(http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/libsimage-dev) if you look at the
changelog you will see:

 * rules: Set dependency_libs variable in .la file to empty string, per
http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2009/08/msg00783.html

And if you look at that then it is fixed. Could somebody please confirm
if this has been fixed in lucid and close if it has? Thanks.

2009-11-04 Thread Robert Massaioli
So I asked for help on the debian mailing lists and this package is
version 1.6.1-3 and debian is currently running 1.6.1-4, I suspect that
the guys at debian have already fixed this in their package (though I
have not checked myself). I would reccommend looking at 1.6.1-4 first
before doing anything else. Thanks.

Is it really that uninspiring? As far as I can tell this bug only

hanging fruit pile.

[Bug 308484] [NEW] About Close Button Does Nothing

2008-12-16 Thread Robert Massaioli
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dvdrip

lsb_release:
Description:Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release:8.04

uname:

  Version table:
 *** 1:0.98.6-0.0ubuntu1 0
500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/multiverse Packages

The steps:

With the dvdrip window open, I pressed Ctrl-A. The About window pops
open as expected. Then I clicked the close button.

What I expected to happen:

The about window to close.

What actually happened:

The about window stayed open despite the fact that the close button was
being clearly clicked many times.

Aside:

I think this is a trivial problem that can be solved quickly.
