Booting fails 3 times, works every fourth time after new install of

I'm not sure I understood the problem. I thought that just loading mb3
mode for Macbook 5,2 would fix the problem, without affecting other
machines - since this detection would be applied only for this specific
model.
Anyway, is there anything else useful I can do to help with fixing this
bug?
On Natty, I'm able to get sound working fine by adding options snd-hda-
intel model=mb31 to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf file.
So, to fix this bug, wouldn't be enough to update the auto-detection
list in order to Macbook 5,2 use the model mb31?

On my Jaunty installation, it is still required to set Option
AccelMethod UXA in xorg.conf to make DRI2 and redirected direct
rendering work. I'm using Intel drivers. Considering that UXA is not enabled
by default and DRI2 doesn't work on EXA, should this really be mark as Fix

If you have tryed every possibility with gnome-volume-control, I
unfortunately don't know what to suggest anymore.. anyway, I'd point the
following questions:
- is it a clean Ubuntu Hardy install? Did you try making the same
(playing with the gnome-volume-controls) through
Rayterril, could you give some more detail? If you're using Hardy and
have the same motherboard as me, this is kind of weird.
On this motherboard, to enable the audio loopback, I go to gnome-volume-
control, select edit/preferences and mark all the avaliable devices

I believe that applications should be fixed, as Josh pointed,
considering that the goal is to have PulseAudio really as the standard
way to go. If PulseAudio is being consolidated, soon or later, they'll

Ok, I think it was kind of my fault. I noticed that current VirtualBox
version has an option, per Virtual Machine, which allows to select the
Audio Device. It was set to Alsa and I changed to PulseAudio, now it
seems fine.

I've tested under Ubuntu Hardy (Kernel 2.6.24-12-generic), and it worked
great: tvtime continues working normally after resuming from Suspend
state, and also from Hibernate state. Great! :D
