Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't
, but no installation occurs.
I tried this on two PCs with the same result.
I used 8.10 and it works fine at this point.

The local network is up all the time.
I attach all the syslogs. They most terminate by me pressing the power off
hard swich because the system has frozen.
As you will see, I haven't used it much - mainly because I can't rely on
it.

Using Firefox browser and synchronising Foxmarks. Tried to select an
Application from ubuntu's pull down list and system froze. Had to
switch machine off and reboot.
