When booting from an iso (kubuntu 21.04) the first screen of the
installer is on a timer, goes away and you can't get back to it. All it
says is "You may wish to read the release notes or update this
installer." See attached screen shot. This was reproduce on hardware
and
I got this error to go away by changing my selection from "Send report
automatically" to "Show dialog for each error before reporting" and
rebooting". When I checked the logs, the error was not there.
If I revert to "... automatically" and reboot I can get the error to
appear again.
Shouldn't
reinstalling the software from HP

fixed the problem.

Spoke to soon, now when I try and run hp-toolbox I get this error.

... and now my printer doesn't work printing for any application.

Thanks. That appeared to work. While running
sudo apt install --reinstall hplip hplip-data
I got the following error.
W: APT had planned for dpkg to do more than it reported back (19 vs 23).
Affected packages: python3:amd64
but I went ahead and did the last command and now apt upgrade

page, device. I have this same bug. Ubuntu 18.04, HPLIP 3.18.4, device
manager 15.0 (Qt4)
