[Bug 1497806] Re: Mirrored display broken in Xubuntu

2016-11-28 Thread Saúl
I use Ubuntu Studio 16.04 with XFCE4 4.12 and I had that problem too,
but exploring the "Extend to the right" option and then returning to
"Displays", "Mirror Displays" option is already accessible.
Unfortunately, unplugging the another monitor and plugging it again, may
recquire select first "Extend to the right" to make "Mirror Displays"
accesible again.

[Bug 1013798] Re: Blink SIP client segfaults with libgcrypt11 1.5.0-3ubuntu0.1

2013-12-13 Thread Saúl Ibarra Corretgé
Hi there,

We updated and released python-gnutls 1.2.5, which includes Jack's fix
(thanks a lot!) so Ubuntu no longer needs to patch it.

Sorry for the delay.

Cheers,

Yes, running kbuildsycoca4 the bug was fixed.
Is this a common bug in Calligra?
Or I did something wrong when installing Calligra?

[Bug 1013798] Re: Blink SIP client segfaults with libgcrypt11 1.5.0-3ubuntu0.1

2012-09-05 Thread Saúl Ibarra Corretgé
Hi,

I work for AG Projects, we are the upstream for the Blink SIP client and
while testing this out I just found the apparent root cause for the
libgcrypt11 crash: Ubuntu includes a patch called
'no_global_init_during_thread_callbacks.diff'. Removing it avoids the
crash. This patch is not present on the Debian package nor upstream, but
unfortunately I'm not aware of the internals of libgcrypt to assert it's
correctness.

Cheers,

[Bug 888039] Re: Gradual degradation in desktop performance.

2012-05-05 Thread Saúl Romero
I'm experiencing the same problem in Precise, with a Dell XPS 15.

In my case, degradation is noticeable from the moment I open an
application. Also, I noticed today (as im writing this) that the
performance goes smoother witouth t he power connected to the laptop,
working on battery power. My guess is that the problem is in the
interaciton Nvidia-Unity.

Any insights?

[Bug 716188] [NEW] Perhaps Xorg not closing files, system reports full HD

2011-02-09 Thread Saúl Romero
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

Hi. I opened this thread in Ubuntu forums with no luck at all. Hope
someone can give me a clue of what happens.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1683746

Recently, gnome has been warning me about low disk space, always less
than 1.5GiGs.

The problem is, baobab (disk usage analyzer) tells me that there are something
like 50GiG free. I am sure that I have the free space ( I can write big files )
but the system keeps reporting low disk space. Even
Code:
df -h
looks wrong:

Code:
FilesystemTypeSize Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 ext4221G 209G 638M 100% /
none devtmpfs2.0G 272K 2.0G 1% /dev
none tmpfs2.0G 1.9M 2.0G 1% /dev/shm
none tmpfs2.0G 328K 2.0G 1% /var/run
none tmpfs2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /var/lock
none debugfs221G 209G 638M 100% /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs
Wandering in some other thread, someone pointed out that some program may be
deleting files ... but not closing them, and the offending program can be fount
with
Code:
sudo lsof -s | grep DEL | sort -rnk 7,7
,which gives a wall of results like these
Code:
Xorg 1334root DEL REG0,4
 8573 /drm mm object
Xorg 1334root DEL REG0,4
 8572 /drm mm object
Xorg 1334root DEL REG 0,4
8560 /drm mm object
Xorg 1334root DEL REG0,4
 8559 /drm mm object
Xorg 1334root DEL REG0,4
 8558 /drm mm object
Xorg 1334root DEL REG0,4
 8557 /drm mm object
Xorg 1334root DEL REG0,4
 8556 /drm mm object
Perhaps Xorg is having a very bad behavior?? What can I do to force it close
the files , or whatever else that can give me back the hard disk space ...
working is unpractical since most applications (gnome apps) think that there is
no space left on the device.

My sistem is Ubuntu 10.10 64bit, with all the upgrades until today (proposed
updates enabled)

but ubuntu say BUG!! XD

sorry for my grammar, but the English was not my native language, and i
don't know if i could report in another language.
