[Bug 1928124] [NEW] Mono fonts don't have displayed in Konsole appearance settings

2021-05-11 Thread Said Bakr
Public bug reported:

Synopsis:
1- Install "Syne Mono" using the app.
2- Open KDE Konsole.
3- From Settings > Edit Current Profile > Appearance Tab.
4- Click on Fonts Choose button.
5- Look at Font list in the "Select Font dialogue"
6- The font "Syne Mono" is not listed there.

I have to check the box labeled: "Show all fonts" to get "Syne Mono"
listed.

Conclusion:
There is an installation issue that prevents the system from recognize the new
installed font as Mono font, because any recognized Mono font should be listed
in step 5. In that list, Microsoft Courier New is listed there which I had
installed using "sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer"

[Bug 1789056] [NEW] Could not calculate the upgrade

2018-08-25 Thread Said Bakr
Public bug reported:

There are three causes of this problem regarded in the error message:

* Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

I have not the first two causes, but I have the third. However, it is
supposed that the installer temporarily cancel any third party packages
in the previous step, so this cause should not be available.

2017-07-16 Thread Said Bakr
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1574347 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574347

The bug is still exists. When my wifi connection is disconnected from
the access point i.e the access point is restarted or its signals
channel is changed, the network icon after re connect again turns to the
two arrows Up/Down i.e like wired connection through the Ethernet. Also,
my wifi link becomes unavailable in the network list in-spite of being
connected to it, but other neighbors networks are still listed. i.e I
could able to access my access point web interface through 192.168.1.1

I have Ubuntu 16.04.2 and NetWorkManager 1.2.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 which is
descriped in synaptic like the following:

```
network-manager
network management framework (daemon and userspace tools)
However, in the middle column there is some small titles with blue arrow
