[Bug 1189721] Re: Ralink RT3290 needs bluetooth driver

2013-10-18 Thread Saljack
Hi found solution how to make bluetooth work. I use
https://launchpad.net/~barracuda72/+archive/ralink and download package
with source code
https://launchpad.net/~barracuda72/+archive/ralink/+files/rtbth-
dkms_3.9.3-0ubuntu1~ppa3.tar.gz and compile and install. After then my
bluetooth adapter starts work. Tested on Ubuntu 13.10

[Bug 941219] Re: [Acer Aspire 8930G] Speaker Sound does not mute when Headphones are connected. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Missing Auto-Mute Mode in alsamixer.

2012-06-07 Thread Saljack
I don't think that it's a good idea to mark this bug as fix committed
just because it is fixed in a mainline kernel. Mainline kernels are for
trying things out and this fix will not propagate into normal 12.04
updates, so will not fix the problem for the majority of users. Even if
you do use this kernel, you will not get any kernel security updates
from the supported 12.04 kernel (currently 3.2.0-24). I agree. Ubuntu
12.04 is long term support!

I have exactly the same problem (speakers don't mute when headphone
jack inserted), but I'm not using an Acer. Would my information most
usefully go in this bug report, or should I start a new one? It would
seem silly to have a new report for every bit of hardware if there is a
problem common to many platforms, on the other hand it would be good not
to confuse two different causes if this particular one is Acer-
specific. I do not this it is necessary start a new bug.

2012-06-05 Thread Saljack
You do not need to install a new kernel. You can install only another
version of ALSA. You can try this https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-
audio-dev/+archive/alsa-daily/+packages daily build repositary of ALSA.

hmmm. alsamixer tells me, my chip was a Nvidia MCP77/78 HDMI
maybe it was badly recognized?
You can try press F6 in alsamixer. I have in alsamixer only HDA Intel.

[Bug 941219] Re: Speaker Sound does not disable when Headphones are connected. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Official Release

2012-04-30 Thread Saljack
You can manually specify what the jack should be :
http://voices.canonical.com/david.henningsson/2011/11/29/turn-your-mic-jack-into-a-headphone-jack/;
If I check Options Set model=auto (codec Realtek ALC888) it began work properly
but center speaker works only.
