[Bug 1780039] Re: Khronos CTS failure on Bionic due to missing change in libegl1

2018-09-17 Thread Sandeep
Verified that earlier broken Khronos CTS test dEQP-
EGL.functional.negative_api.make_current Passes with this update.

To upgrade libglvnd0, I did following:
1) Add "deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports bionic-proposed restricted
main multiverse universe" in /etc/apt/sources.list
2) sudo apt-get update
3) sudo apt-get install --only-upgrade libglvnd0

[Bug 1782285] Re: Add missing libGLESv1_CM.so to Bionic

2018-08-08 Thread Sandeep
Yes GLESv1 is a fixed-function pipeline but all the modern day GPUs
still do support it along with support for more recent GLESv2
(programmable pipeline)

With current glvnd libs on 18.04, even if a GPU supports GLESv1 in HW
and SW, apps can't use the API due to missing libGLESv1_CM.so

[Bug 1780039] [NEW] Upgrade libegl1 to 1.0.0+git20180308-3ubuntu1 present in Cosmic

2018-07-04 Thread Sandeep
Public bug reported:

Currently Bionic contains 1.0.0-2ubuntu2 version of libegl1.

There is a bug in libEGL.so.1 due to which a Khronos CTS failure happens
on ARM platform.

Cosmic has already upgraded to 1.0.0+git20180308-3ubuntu1 version of
libegl1 where this bug is fixed.

Details of fix in liglvnd-EGL code:
https://github.com/NVIDIA/libglvnd/issues/151
Failing Khronos CTS test: dEQP-EGL.functional.negative_api.make_current, which
runs in bot OpenGL and OpenGL-ES CTS runs.

Without above test passing, we can't submit logs to Khronos for the CTS
run.

Filing this bug to get libegl1 upgraded to cosmic's version in bionic repos.
We've verified locally on ARM platform, there are no issues present due to this
upgrade.

Thanks.

Hi Timo,

>> vulkan 1.0.42 is already uploaded to the queue, just unapproved

It doesn't show in
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/+package/libvulkan1 so didn't know
that it's already uploaded to the queue.

Please let me know how long the approval process takes and if I can be
of any help to get it done.

Thanks,

[Bug 1687981] Re: Backport packages for 16.04.3 HWE stack

2017-05-22 Thread Sandeep
About Vulkan package:

Vulkan loader (libvulkan) has moved to newer version and that is needed
to make use of all the recently proposed vulkan extensions in the
application.

The main application that doesn't work currently is with Vulkan CTS:
https://github.com/KhronosGroup/VK-GL-CTS

Vulkan CTS passing is required for a device to be called as Vulkan
compatible.

We support only LTS releases on our devices so need latest version on
16.04. Can you please upgrade the libvulkan.so version to 1.0.42 for
Xenial?

This version is already available for latest ubuntu version (17.04).

Thanks.

[Bug 1582592] [NEW] Please create snap packages for pypy

2016-05-17 Thread Sandeep
Public bug reported:

This bug is being filed here after discussion at

https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2016/04/21/firefox-default-
browser-for-linux-users-ubuntu-new-snap-format-coming-soon/

>Ubuntu version 16.04 will include the introduction of the snap
infrastructure. With the snap format, we will be able to continually
optimize Firefox on Ubuntu. Like our rapid engineering release cycle,
snap format will allow us to provide Linux users the most up-to-date
features, in particular security patches, even after major Operating
System ship dates.

Snap packages are a new, secure, independent way of distributing software.
Mozilla has already committed to release snap packages according to its own
release cycle. Remember snap packages do not conflict with distro installed
packages (of the same name).

[Bug 1578102] Re: Error: No such file or directory: '/etc/keystone/sso_callback_template.html'

2016-05-04 Thread sandeep nandal
I have checked the issue, This bug is not related with the keystone module in
openstack liberty.
On Liberty Keystone source code we can see the above file in
/keystone/etc/sso_callback_template.html path.
And this issue is also not occurring when we use RPM packages, because in RPMs
package of openstack-keystone also we find the file in /etc directory when we
extract the RPM.

The issue is with the DEB package which is used by devstack, which we can see
by extracting the openstack-keystone.deb package on ubuntu machine, and can see
there is no file sso_callback_template.html in /etc directory of debian package.
This bug is related with debian package creation of keystone by ubuntu

[Bug 1578102] [NEW] Error: No such file or directory: '/etc/keystone/sso_callback_template.html'

2016-05-04 Thread sandeep nandal
Public bug reported:

Bug Description copied from :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/keystone/+bug/1577666

The following error occurs when a user tries to login using Horizon
Single Sign-On feature after the Idp authenticates the user and sends
SAML assertion successfully :

{"error": {"message": "An unexpected error prevented the server from
fulfilling your request: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/etc/keystone/sso_callback_template.html' (Disable debug mode to
suppress these details.)", "code": 500, "title": "Internal Server
Error"}}

I reproduced the above error while trying to configure Keystone for
Federation taking TestShib.org as Idp and Keystone as SP.

I am using Security Assertion Markup Language(SAML) for configuring
Keystone for federation.

The above error got fixed when I copied the sso_callback_template.html
file to /etc/keystone directory.

cp /opt/stack/keystone/etc/sso_callback_template.html /etc/keystone/

I would recommend to add one more point(5) under Keystone changes as
follows:

5. Copy the sso_callback_template.html file to /etc/keystone/ directory:
cp /opt/stack/keystone/etc/sso_callback_template.html /etc/keystone/

in the following documentation(Setup Web Single Sign-On (SSO):

http://docs.openstack.org/developer/keystone/federation/websso.html

[Bug 1483494] Re: WIFI not working on Acer Aspire E5-573

2015-10-05 Thread Sandeep Singh
Thank you christoper for providing a latest iso tested image. I burned a
ISO and tried to check on my laptop.

This iso has a bug. After installation, when i restarted my laptop for a
very first time. I got a strange error and i couldn't able to use
anything. Screenshot attached.

So many bugs. Now mouse pad is not even detecting. I don't think this is
ever gonna resolve. I bought a new laptop just for linux but now i have
no choice but to use windows(which i always hated).

Advice to those who love linux, don't ever purchase laptop with latest
hardware.

2015-09-13 Thread Sandeep Kumar
the temp fix by Maxim is working for me

Thanks a lot Maxim for suggestion!

I updated /etc/default/grup and added acpi_osi=\"!Windows 2013\" after
the last parameter. Did an update-grub, rebooted and is working fine.

[Bug 609741]

2014-09-20 Thread sandeep
I think I may be facing the same problem:

When I resize konsole to a bigger size using the mouse, the text
displayed tries to wrap around to the next line, as if the konsole
window is still small (i.e even if there is enough space for text to be
displayed). However, the text doesn't wrap around correctly and is
garbled instead (i.e displayed in previous line, with gaps between
text).

For example, I initially open up a konsole window of size: 105x26 and
then resize to 136x34. Then, I type in a long line of text (say a git

[Bug 1349033] [NEW] LXC Error after launching the conatiner ubuntu 14.04

2014-07-26 Thread sandeep
Public bug reported:

Hi Guys,

I have a container created in my ubuntu 14.04 that is running on oracle
virtual box.

once i start my container with below command i am getting the below
error.

lxc-start --name cn-01

init: setvtrgb main process (421) terminated with status 1
init: plymouth-upstart-bridge respawning too,fast

After the above error there is no login prompt is visible.

As a fix i need to hit 'Enter' key after that i get a prompt for Login.

Is this a bug or Is there anything that i am missing during my
installation?

Thanks
Sandeep
