[Bug 1515744] Re: Calibre starts with an error message, and crashes on any operation

2015-11-28 Thread Sanjeev Gupta
Hi, Dheepan,

Thanks, but as I dual-boot, with a common Calibre library location in
Dropbox, I am able to use Windows to load books on my Nook.

I will wait for the xenial fix :-)

[Bug 1211066] Re: App indicators for copy.com, Dropbox not displaying

2013-10-13 Thread Sanjeev Gupta
Tony, your workaround in #7 works perfectly. I spent all of today
looking for a solution, and wven signed up for Ubuntu One to see if the
Sync menu would help. Nothing did, till this.

Now to uninstall lots of other stuff I installed today (like gnome-
tweak-tool, unitu-tweak-tool, etc).

Thank you,

[Bug 1023691] Re: [arrandale] False GPU lockup IPEHR: 0x01800002

2012-08-29 Thread Sanjeev Gupta
Hi,

Bug occurred when I disconnected the external display (an LCD projector)
from the laptop.

I have previously been plugging in and and removing the LCD, and there
have been no previous issues. The only difference I can think of this
time was that the laptop was on a lock screen, and I disconnected
immediately after typing in my password, before I saw the desktop
refresh.

The window manager crashed. All my apps are now working, but no
launcher bar, window decorations, etc. Apport reported a stream (at
least 5) requests to report a bug, I am reporting only the first,

Regards,

[Bug 1028881] [NEW] Tab behavior broken in FF15

2012-07-25 Thread Sanjeev Gupta
Public bug reported:

I have been on 12.10 alpha since May, updating daily.

A month ago, after FF13 was released, my Aurora upgraded to FF15, and
after the restart, I saw all my restored tabs as empty. Neither Ctrl-T
nor typing the Add Tab button worked. Starting a new session gave me a
tab, and I was able to type in a URL, but going to a new URL by typing
it in would not work.

I downgraged to the beta channel (then FF14). All was back.

Today, the beta moved to FF15, and the behaviour is back.

[Bug 937469] Re: add-apt-repository crashed with error in get_ppa_info_from_lp(): (52, 'Empty reply from server')

2012-02-20 Thread Sanjeev Gupta
Running it again, immediately after, works.

Notice the:
pycurl.error: (52, 'Empty reply from server')

just before the earlier crash.

I suppose this should rather be Better error handling.
