I'm using Chromium from the quantal repositories and I get the same
behaviour, so it's not a Firefox bug. If I disable the Unity WebApps
Chromium extension form the extensions window, the bug disappears.

I've been testing it on Lucid. xfprint4 worked fine with images and pdf
documents, but it printed a series of random charactes when I tried it
for odt or doc files. Glad to help.

I'm using Xubuntu Karmic Beta. After installing the NVIDIA drivers
version 185 for my GeForce 9400 GT card (the recommended ones in Jockey)
and rebooting the system, my computer started on a console login screen,
and the screen flickers, instead of showing GDM.

I can reproduce this problem using notify-osd.
Using the notification-daemon, nothing happens (neither the Now Playing
window nor the notification slide appear).

Hi Steve,
I followed the wiki's instructions- When I reconnected the printer, a
notification appeared on the tray saying:
Missing printer driver
No printer driver for Hewlett-Packard Deskjet F4100 Printer series.
I clicked on search, selected the right driver and it started working fine.
