Hi, I was attempting to recruit testers when it was brought to my
intention that this broke the installer ( the missing translations ) I
am not clear on how we can test this without a new ISO. Is there a way
to create a new ISO with proposed enabled?

LOL the whole point of the patches and this mess was to avoid that as our users
(Kubuntu) will end up bringing in all of Unity. That is NOT an option. I was

I need to know a few things:
What language? There were some missing translations that caused a series of
issues like this one.
Video card? Nvidia seems to be also causing similiar issues.
That dmesg log shows coredumps and according to it plasma is indeed
installed or it would not be core

Yes I admitted above to not having a clue where to assign this bug. It
is only on install as this laptop has a functional xenial running (was
testing last daily ) and startx works fine after switching alt + f2 so I
am not convinced x stack is at fault.

I cannot reproduce this exactly. I had one computer that would not boot
to an X environement. But was able to startx. Nvidia card. Installed on
computer with Intel card no problem.
In short, we need those logs to be able to get anywhere on this bug.

graphic card. So something with nvidia.

oversized due to the sheer size of KDE. I can't promise that we can get
this one there as gcc does not come alone and needs more dependencies.
