[Bug 387308] Re: HTTPS Proxy Support for file sync

2011-03-27 Thread Scott Brown
What am i missing, in that i am running 10.10 behind a proxy with no
auth - but i can't sync notes?

If i open the UbuntuOne client and try and sign in i just get:

Unable to find the server at login.ubuntu.com

I just want to sync my tomboy notes.

2009-11-15 Thread Scott Brown
Sorry i should mention - mine is that when i open the setup assistant -
the very first page the forward button works, on the second screen
(import backup) forward is greyed out - if i tick the Restore checkbox -
the forward button changes to apply and then if i untick it changes back
to forward and i can press it, but then on the next screen forward is
greyed out and i can't get past it

[Bug 375755] Re: 9.04: xrdp 0.4 + vnc4server results in flashing screen on login

2009-09-16 Thread Scott Brown
Fixed it by removing xrdp and associated dependencies (vnc4server and
vnc4-common), installing tightvnc and then installing xrdp (which then
doesn't use vnc4).

Cheers,

[Bug 218202] Re: [hardy] numlockx does not turn num lock keyboard light on.

2009-08-03 Thread Scott Brown
i have this exact problem on Jaunty.

During boot the LED is on the the numpad produces numbers.

this continues to the Gnome login screen (can login using the numpad
with the light still on).

Then as soon as i have logged in and ahve a desktop - the LED is off but
the numlock is actually on. The numlock button changes the LED to on
then - but actually turns the numlock off.

Any help? i have tried the numlockx solution - no change

[Bug 284250] Re: intrepid: network proxy ignore host list ignored for wildcard

2009-03-30 Thread Scott Brown
We have finally convinced the powers that be to let developers use
ubuntu at work - this is a big problem for us as we have a lot of
internal servers, and it would be great to add *.internaldomain.com to
the list instead of each individual server each time...
