[Bug 114417] Re: Please sync powertop from Debian unstable

2007-05-18 Thread Scott Mansell
I've been playing with powertop today, very easy to compile, just a
single make file. It shows the C states stats but says: No detailed
statistics available; please enable the CONFIG_TIMER_STATS kernel
option

It also recommends you enable the CONFIG_NO_HZ kernel configuration
option for best performance, which is in 2.6.21

[Bug 68922] Ubuntu 6.10 still installs from a 650mb cd, no reported errors

2006-10-28 Thread Scott Mansell
Public bug reported:

I finally found a cd-rw that was slow enough to work on this old cd
writer and I burnt edgy to it, however I didn't notice that it was a
650mb cd and not a 700mb cd. So I booted it up, and it took about 6min
to boot, the only error was about a gnome settings manager, The rest of
the install went with out any errors, but now not everything is working
quite right.

I Think that if the last 50mb of the image is crouped, that the install
should at least fail.

Also, any ideas what packages I would need to reinstall to get it
working?

** Affects: Ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed
