[Bug 1463598] Re: Chromium 43 fails to use hardware acceleration
Well as no fix is forthcoming I decided that most pragmatic thing to do was uninstall Chromium and just installed Google Chrome from the Google website. Not an open source solution but I just needed a solution that works. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1463598 Title: Chromium 43 fails to use hardware acceleration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1463598/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1195425] Re: Corrupted screen using radeon drivers
Thank you for the help. I tried the legacy fglrx driver through the PPA route you posted. It the driver loads but crashes more unity and cinnamon. I guess I need to wait until either the next release or maybe AMD will update it's legacy drivers soon. I'm an end user that is affected by this on my HD 4570 :( At the moment I'm running in SOFTWARE mode because this open source driver doesn't work for me, and ATI's binary legacy driver is incompatible with the version of Xorg in ubuntu stable. [Bug 551475] Re: amdcccle settings do not persist lucid
I also find that the settings do not persist between reboot. The easy way for me to tell this is to: 1.) Set force v-sync on; 2.) Reboot 3.) Wobble a window (compiz..) and observe the tear; 4.)
