Your proposed solution did not solve my problem.
I rewrite my problem:
Yamaha Opl3sa2 sound card worked in Breezy 5.10 with a simple:
modprobe snd-opl3sa2
But in Dapper it says during boot and when I manually modprobe snd-opl3sa2:
FATAL: Error inserting snd_opl3sa2

I have a Pentium-200 MMX machine and Yamaha OPL3SAx sound card.
I also have the same problem as mentioned by Eric that the sound card was
working okay in Breezy but does not work in Dapper as OPL3SA2 not found or
busy message appears.
