recently it happened with 15.10 usb install with persistent storage that
the panel lost logout, restart. i booted then without casper-rw, i.e.
removing the persistent flag to compare where the buttons are available
(see here for boot options: http://shallowsky.com/blog/linux/install
now i tried different and put an ubuntu lts-14.04 LTS on the 4th
partition from windows, pendrive, i.e. an iso. i then booted this ubuntu
LTS and wanted to install ubuntu on the other 3 partitions, as above.
now the installer says (i cannot copy the text unfortunately ...):
failed to unmount
this still exists in 14.04 LTS see bug1502697. also in 15.10 manifesting
different, see same bug.

exactly about this. open the launcher, and window switching is probably
the most essential. especially super-w is impossible to type. yet,
good combinations like super-g, super-v, super-b are wasted.
seriously, how often do you search videos, so you need a shortcut for
it?
btw, i did not succeed
with 12.10 and 13.04 it finally is nearly good. but - switching the
sound level to 120% with the sound settings is _not_ persistent. all the
time one touches the loudness the maximum is reset to 100%.

i never touched the apport configuration, i never cared about the apport
configuration, but the upgrade wants to have user input:

i am not sure if this is the right package to report this. after upgrading to
jaunty, pidgin got a second icon in the launch bar: 1. start pidgin
2. the pidgin bubble shows up in the launch bar
3. a letter (like for a mail program) shows up as

if one is english speaker in switzerland, it can be quite hard to
configure so all software displays its messages in english, and the
local swiss rules for currencies, time zones, etc apply.
in effect, language, country specific settings are completely
independent things, so

in the last 2 years there was not a single upgrade which did not disable
compiz visual effects. maybe you really should think about stopping
support for nvida with proprietory drivers? it is really rare that one
finds such low quality software, and such low quality upgrade

for recent versions of trac.
2: it would be great if you'd improve the existing xml-rpc plugin, it is anyway
orphaned currently.
imo it is bad design if a plugin on the trac side is specifically designed
for
loosing the sound at some point happens while using skype as well, but
unfortunately i did not track it down where it came from. it was gone
after the next reboot.
will have a closer look though next time it happens.

poor pulse alsa-lib plugin interaction with default server,sink,source
seems to be not there any more in intrepid.
