1. display contents of F3 viewer (this works correctly)
2. enter a virtual directory tree, one can browse (like any normal directory)

I once got another message in kern.log:

Somehow after that, when I started Totem for the third time, it actually
worked and the TV stream was displayed

I am not sure if this is a bug in Totem or libgstreamer.
I created a dvb-channels.conf with the dvb-tools' package's scan tool
and placed it in ~/.gstreamer-0.10.

I think this one does not really apply to consistance, because it is a
standard behavior to click on any spot to jump to that place and you
should also be able to navigate through the whole song/movie while
keeping the mouse button pressed without the need to search the current
position and drag
