Just asking if this is the problem I have: I have Chromium as a favorite in my gnome panel on the left side. After some time the indication of the running Chromium windows disappears (like no Chromium is running at all - clicking the shortcut on the left just opens a new window). When pressing ALT+TAB all other Chromium windows are there. I installed Ubuntu 15.10 (32bit) fresh and clean on my Dell D620. It loaded the b43 module but no wireless was working, also nothing showed up in the additional driver list to install afterwards. @ber the frustrating bug you mentioned is fixed with a patch you have to apply yourself. it happens with hybrid graphics and the proprietary nvidia driver. workaround is to use a usb mouse instead of the touchpad.
