I've removed the reference to the duplicate bug as it doesn't exist anymore. The issue is affecting my system as well. I have an HP hs2300 HSDPA Broadband Wireless Module (Sierra MC8775). [Bug 569601] Re: unknown conduit in configure
Ok, let's go one by one... For me this is broken since some point on Karmic, but I can't remember any other detail... I currently have installed: gnome-pilot: 2.0.17-0ubuntu5 gnome-pilot-conduits: 2.0.15-1.2 evolution-common: 2.28.3-0ubuntu10 I have currently the Backup conduit enabled (if I enable the others I just receive more errors when launching the sync, and none of them works). New information after my update to Lucid. It looks like that with Bluez v4.x there is no way to share my internet connection with my phone. Uncomment the line net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding=1 5. sudo sysctl -p 6. gksudo gedit /etc/ppp/peers/dun 7. paste inside the file (and adapt it to your network configuration): 115200 192.168.2.1:192.168.2.2 local ms-dns 192.168.0.1 noauth debug 8. sudo /usr/bin/dund --listen --persist --msdun call dun --nodetach 9. launch the connection from your phone, it worked for me. -- missing hcid.conf and pairing problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Just discovered on http://www.adamish.com/blog/ that this is normal behavior as the bluez package has been deeply updated. On the same page I've found some good starts on how to reconfigure my system. Basically I had to restore the original file bluetooth under /etc/default/ After that I've deleted my phone, repaired it with my PC and launched the command: /usr/bin/dund --listen --persist --msdun call dun --nodetach -- missing hcid.conf and pairing problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 310742] Re: cannot Unlock Users Settings
What solved the issue for me has been: 1. Purge policykit (please note that this will remove ubuntu-desktop as well) from Synaptics 2. As Ubuntu-desktop has been removed I had to manually reconnect to the LAN (the network manager applet has been removed as well) 3. Reinstall ubuntu-desktop 4. Reboot the machine -- cannot Unlock Users Settings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310742 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
