[Bug 708493] Re: Can't login anymore: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer
Howdy, I know that in my case, this was definitely an MTU problem, and it exhibits exactly the behavior stated above. to test this, call ping -M do -s 1500 host If it goes through, this is probably not your issue. If it does not, try lowering the -s value until it does go through. If the value that you find is lower than the MTU on your interface, this is likely the problem. The solution would be to change your MTU size on the interface. You can check this with ifconfig and set it with sudo ifconfig interface mtu 1000 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/708493 Title: Can't login anymore: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/708493/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Same here. Happens for me upon upgrade to natty. [Bug 392204] Re: Huge CPU usage by mount.ntfs process
The Tuxera FAQ says one cause of this problem is writing to sparse files and/or fragmented volumes. From the upstream changelog, this has recently been fixed: STABLE Version 2010.8.8 (August 8, 2010) * Fixed partially overwriting sparse clusters on highly fragmented volumes. You might try installing a more recent upstream NTFS-3g version (2010.8.8 or 2010.10.2) and see if that helps. Unofficial Ubuntu packages for 2010.8.8 can be found at: https://launchpad.net/~x3lectric/+archive/team-iquik-releases/+packages I hope we can soon get the latest version into the official Ubuntu channels. -- Huge CPU usage by mount.ntfs process https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 403408] Re: Grub 2 problem, error: no such device
Replaced the 60GB HD drive on an old gateway laptop, then installed 9.10 full disk. Got this error. By deleting the search line in the grub (as explained above) I was able to boot. I considered upgrading the BIOS, but since I don't have windows on this machine it seemed t0o complicated for my simple brain. I booted on a gparted cd, shrunk the root to about 120GB, then created another partition to fill the unallocated area. When I rebooted everything worked fine. I still have access to the whole drive, but the new partition has to be mounted to use. no big deal. [Bug 199524] [NEW] evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in imap_body_decode()
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Ubuntu 7.10, source package evolution-data-server 1.12.1-0ubuntu2 in camel-imap-utils.c, libcamel1.2-10: 1.12.1-0ubuntu2 . Evolution crashes upon downloading an IMAP message, with an attachment, from Gmail. I manually downloaded the message and put it in the mailbox file; Evolution displays the message fine. I can provide the message if needed. I think the problem is in the IMAP conversation with the Gmail server. I tried to grab the conversation with Wireshark, but Gmail requires SSL and I don't know how to dump the stream otherwise. I'd be happy to dump it if you can instruct me. Any hints?
