[Bug 1426631] [NEW] WiFi signal varies and speed fluctuates
Public bug reported: I have a Realtek 8188ee WiFi adapter. Not the 8188ce which has been previously reported on. My WiFi signal varies about every 15 seconds and my speed goes from normal to nothing constantly. Changing channels on my router seems to help but it doesn't resolve the issue. I have seen other report of the 8188ce having the same problem and it is related to the kernel since the driver is built into the kernel. [Bug 1090053] [NEW] e4defrag -c /mountpoint does not provide expected output
Public bug reported: According to the man page this is the expected output below. OPTIONS -c Get a current fragmentation count and an ideal fragmentation count, and calculate fragmentation score based on them. By see‐ ing this score, we can determine whether we should execute e4defrag to target. When used with -v option, the current frag‐ mentation count and the ideal fragmentation count are printed for each file. Also this option outputs the average data size in one extent. If you see it, you'll find the file has ideal extents or not. Note that the maximum extent size is 131072KB in ext4 filesystem (if block size is 4KB). If this option is specified, target is never defragmented. I am attaching a screenshot of my output which is not what I expected. This may not be a bug but it is not very informational. [Bug 1089214] Re: Bottom status lines and OK and Cancel buttons not visible
Just for clarification. Even if you move the window as high as you can get it you still can not see the bottom on the window. It HAS to be maximized or you have to resize the window from the top to see the bottom lines. But by default you will look for hours trying to figure out why your settings are not saved not realizing there is an OK button at the bottom. I say this because in Linux / Unix type systems it is sometimes not necessary to press OK to save settings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1089214 Title: Bottom status lines and OK and Cancel buttons not visible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1089214/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I just noticed that when my automated backup popped up to run and prompt me for the password that the window positioned itself where the OK / CANCEL buttons were hidden in the bottom of my screen. [Bug 1089222] [NEW] Characters don't display correctly with certain pdf's
Public bug reported: I am attaching a screenshot for reference. I have to have these working because they are my bank statements. I have tested this same file on Fedora and OpenSuse using LiveCD's of their OS's and it works perfectly there I can open these pdf's using xpdf. I can not open them using Gimp. Gimp displays the same as Evince. So it must be something shared between Gimp and Evince but not xpdf. Something Gnome related or something Unity related possibly as the other 2 distributions use Gnome 3. I have seen some other bugs already posted about this but it says a fix was released. My system is up to date. [Bug 1088285] [NEW] evince displays only bottom half of text
Public bug reported: The top half of text is cut off on some documents like my bank statements which makes me think it is a post script font issue. However, the same pdf file displays correctly in adobe reader (linux), xpdf, and gv. Graphics are fine in evince and text is ok in other documents. I think it must lie with the font used in the document. I will add this information that I tested this same pdf file with fedora and it displayed correctly. So, that points to the ubuntu distribution and fonts. At least to me that is what it points to.
