[Bug 1591548] Re: Bug report corrupted and broken?

2017-05-19 Thread Str3tLeer
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and I'm seeing the same thing.

ProcCmdline
/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -core :0 -seat seat0 -auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:0
-nolisten tcp vt7 -novtswitch

UnreportableReason:
This problem report is damaged and cannot be processed.
OSError('Invalid core dump: BFD: Warning: /tmp/apport_core_k0d5b924 is
truncated: expected core file size >=72568832, found: 23134208.')

I started getting this only after upgrading kernel to HWE (kernel 4.8). Before
there were no issues.

Hope this helps iron out the bug.

[Bug 1574759] Re: Newly installed softwares do not appear in dash

2016-05-04 Thread Str3tLeer
Same here, happening with fresh installation of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. A
workaround is posted on #1506744 to kill "unity-scope-loader" but this
shouldn't happen with an LTS release. Hope it's fixed soon.

[Bug 1173936] Re: Cannot lock screen after update

2013-06-15 Thread Str3tLeer
Seems that gnome-screensaver is missing from previous upgrades
(12.04/12.10) to 13.04.

As per this article (http://askubuntu.com/questions/292227/ubuntu-13-04
-not-locking-screen) it works if you do this:

sudo apt-get install gnome-screensaver

Hope this can be addressed by the Ubuntu lords.

Thanks!

[Bug 971876] Re: Realtek Card Reader RTL8411 Device 5289 (PCI 03:00.0) Driver and udisks Rule

2013-05-31 Thread Str3tLeer
I have a System76 Gazelle system and I upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10 and
then to 13.04. I get this error regarding rts-bpp-dkms so I tried the
planet76.com fix but this is what I get:

Building initial module for 3.8.0-23-generic
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 3.8.0-23-generic (x86_64)
Consult /var/lib/dkms/rts_bpp/1.1/build/make.log for more information.

Then I opened the make.log and this is inside:
