[Bug 794777] [NEW] alsa fails to detect and add internal audio device if HDMI video card present in system

2011-06-08 Thread SunnyDrake
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 11.04 / 1.0.24+dfsg-0ubuntu1
My system have Realteck integrated ALCxxx 8ch audio chip and ATI HDMI video
card. Internal audio chip is used for standard jack audio output and hdmi is
not used at all.
Recently after alsa system updates alsa stopped to detect internal audio chip
(aplay -L) and print only hdmi device. All kernel intel8x0 intel-hda drivers is
loaded, and even used in HDMI output(as PCM flow generators for HDMI? which was
problem in past). .asoundrc not used,
 lspci reports only:
01:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc HD48x0 audio
Subsystem: PC Partner Limited Sapphire HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E Dual
Slot Fansink
Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel
Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel
(well actually it is Sapphire 4870 GDDR5)
Where dog bones? snd-hda-intel, blacklist of alsa drivers, improper code
quickfix merge of internal/hdmi as one device?
Configuration is default without alsa config handjobs. In past releases audio
worked out-of-box.

[Bug 494699] Re: Does not support current Lucid kernel (2.6.32) or xserver (1.7)

2010-05-11 Thread SunnyDrake
solved! by deleting via synaptic all fglrx packages and installing
fglrx_8.723.1-0ubuntu4_i386.deb
(also modded /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh to run(dirty fix by -n to !)
because $FORCE_ATI_UNINSTALL not recognized inside script )

driver( and which exist in ATI_Catalyst_10.3_OGL4_Preview_Linux also)..

[Bug 352159] Re: Sound stopped working after recent upgrade Jaunty beta

2009-06-26 Thread SunnyDrake
Thanks to WanteY Daniel T Chen tips i fixed problem..
tsched=0 really works for me.
/etc/pulseaudio/system.pa
### Automatically load driver modules depending on the hardware available
.ifexists module-hal-detect.so
load-module module-hal-detect tsched=0
.else
### Alternatively use the static hardware detection module (for systems that
### lack HAL support)
load-module module-detect tsched=0
.endif
