[Bug 1881444] [NEW] hgsvn - package does not contain binaries / python-code
Public bug reported: I installed hgsvn to transform a svn repo. Installation went well, but I found no binaries of "hgimportsvn", "hgpullsvn" or "hgpushsvn". I found only the man pages. "dpkg -L hgsvn" shows missing binaries too: sven@strike:/tmp/svn$ dpkg -L hgsvn /. /usr /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/hgsvn /usr/share/doc/hgsvn/copyright /usr/share/doc/hgsvn/changelog.Debian.gz /usr/share/man /usr/share/man/man1 /usr/share/man/man1/hgimportsvn.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/hgpullsvn.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/hgpushsvn.1.gz /usr/bin So looks like the packaging is broken. [Bug 1880443] [NEW] targetcli fails iscsi setup after upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04
Public bug reported: I manually updated from 18.04 to 20.04. The system was also configured to be a iSCSI-target for 5 devices. The configuration was done with targetcli-fb under 18.04. The system had also the "open-iscsi" package installed. after upgrading to 20.04 the whole configuration was gone. Also after manually resetup the configuration disappeared again after some reboots. This happened several times. Finally I uninstalled the "open-iscsi" package and now this was not happening any more after some reboots. this was inspired by https://github.com/Datera/targetcli#migrating-away-from-a-targetcli--30-setup . [Bug 615938] [NEW] mousepointer invisible, but seems to be there
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg It happens intermittent and was seen on different kernel-versions. I can't remember if the version of any xorg-package changed. [Bug 615938] Re: mousepointer invisible, but seems to be there
** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg It happens intermittent and was seen on different kernel-versions. I can't remember if the version of any xorg-package changed. It's like the pointer on the screen is transparent or has a size of zero - it's not visible. But it's there (for the software) as i can blind use the pad to try to hit an item (link in browser, window to activate, ...), which will work as expected. But it's hard to do something useful in the xsession. The touchpad gets recognized by the kernel and Xorg-server, according to the logs. A reboot (no powerdown) will fix this issue, till the next time. - I think this only happens when I coldstart the PC, but I'm not sure. + I tested that it will not be fixed by restarting the Xserver. This time it happend again after rebooting the PC, but I think rebooting someone fixed it. [Bug 237625] [NEW] after upgrade from gutsy to hardy producing unbootble system because of missing IDE-drivers
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: initramfs-tools I just updated from gutsy to hardy, after rebooting my system wasn't able to read the root-partition. This is caused by the changes in the kernel-ide-driver-system. Under gutsy I used the via82cxxx and ide-disk-driver to accesse the hdd. under hardy pata-via and sd_mod are needed. My current setup: /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf MODULES=list /etc/initramfs-tools/modules -- ide_disk via82cxxx ext3 # for changed kernel-drivers pata-via sd_mod Maybe ist's not common to to use MODULES=list but at least a warning should be displayed to the user to verify the content of /etc/initramfs-tools/modules. An automatic conversion of the entries would be hint, of course. Perhaps the file /etc/modules needs to be checked / updated also. ** Affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- after upgrade from gutsy to hardy producing unbootble system because of missing IDE-drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237625 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
