[Bug 1881444] Re: hgsvn - package does not contain binaries / python-code

2020-05-30 Thread Sven Roederer
Looks like broken in Debian too and had been removed as of unmaintained
and incompatible with recent versions of svn and mercurial

[Bug 1881444] [NEW] hgsvn - package does not contain binaries / python-code

2020-05-30 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

I installed hgsvn to transform a svn repo. Installation went well, but I
found no binaries of "hgimportsvn", "hgpullsvn" or "hgpushsvn". I found
only the man pages.

"dpkg -L hgsvn" shows missing binaries too:

sven@strike:/tmp/svn$ dpkg -L hgsvn
/.
/usr
/usr/share
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/doc/hgsvn
/usr/share/doc/hgsvn/copyright
/usr/share/doc/hgsvn/changelog.Debian.gz
/usr/share/man
/usr/share/man/man1
/usr/share/man/man1/hgimportsvn.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/hgpullsvn.1.gz
/usr/share/man/man1/hgpushsvn.1.gz
/usr/bin

So looks like the packaging is broken.

[Bug 1880443] [NEW] targetcli fails iscsi setup after upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04

2020-05-24 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

I manually updated from 18.04 to 20.04.
The system was also configured to be a iSCSI-target for 5 devices. The
configuration was done with targetcli-fb under 18.04. The system had also the
"open-iscsi" package installed.

after upgrading to 20.04 the whole configuration was gone. Also after manually
resetup the configuration disappeared again after some reboots. This happened
several times.
Finally I uninstalled the "open-iscsi" package and now this was not happening
any more after some reboots. this was inspired by
https://github.com/Datera/targetcli#migrating-away-from-a-targetcli--30-setup .

Also the network setup failed and the system was not reachable remotely.
Not sure if thi is related.

[Bug 1418775] [NEW] faulty rounding when entering ledgers

2015-02-05 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

I entered a new invenstement in Ledgers, with the following data:
Activity: Buy Shares
Security: whatever
Account: Account from Drop-down
Fees: empty
Date: 07.01.2015 (7. January 2015)
Price / Share: 132,4168 €
Memo: empty

the program calculates a Total: 2913,16 €

according to my bank is must be 2913,17 € (using kcalc 22 * 132.4168 =
2913,1696 -- rounded to 2913,17)

So it seems there is a problem in the function for rounding these data.

[Bug 1194627] [NEW] wrong calculate during sell of shares

2013-06-25 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS

Today I sold some of my shares on kmyMoney and the sum / value was calculated
wrong. It looks like there is a failure during rounding of currencies.
The transaction entered is

date: 10.6.2013
Shares: 31,25
value of share: 94,50€
-
The sum of values gets calculated to 2953,12€
The value manually calculated equals to 2953,125€, which need to be rounded up
to 2953,13€. This is the value my bank also uses.

I used the german localization. and this is the first transaction for
this application-run today.

[Bug 651294] Re: X crash on KDM logout (still - yes, really)

2010-11-23 Thread Sven Roederer
Hi,

I could fix prevent kdm from crashing by installing xfce4 and setting the
alternatives
- x-session-manager to /usr/bin/startkde
- x-window-manager to /usr/bin/kwin

it do not make sense but it's working. I got to it, as my NFS-server
wasn't up and I only could login to failsafe-mode. And here KDM did
not crash on logout. After installing xfce4 (xession-manager and
window-manager were set to the xfc alternatives) logout worked also. And
restoring the managers to the kde-alternatives did ot break the logout-
function.

[Bug 615938] [NEW] mousepointer invisible, but seems to be there

2010-08-10 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

It happens intermittent and was seen on different kernel-versions. I
can't remember if the version of any xorg-package changed.

It's like the pointer on the screen is transparent or has a size of zero
- it's not visible. But it's there (for the software) as i can blind use
the pad to try to hit an item (link in browser, window to activate,
...), which will work as expected. But it's hard to do something useful
in the xsession.

The touchpad gets recognized by the kernel and Xorg-server, according to the
logs. A reboot (no powerdown) will fix this issue, till the next time.
I think this only happens when I coldstart the PC, but I'm not sure.

[Bug 318610] [NEW] build-error on jaunty: Invalid cross-device link

2009-01-18 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

Today I tried to build akonadi from source (apt-get source akonadi).
During the filnal deb-install-scripts the process failed with:

As my developing-failsystem is on a separate partition the creation of a
hardlink must fail.
I changed the debian/rules-file to use a softlink an the package was build
succesfully. But I do not know if this will intoduce other problems.

I used akonadi_1.1.0-0ubuntu1.

[Bug 237625] [NEW] after upgrade from gutsy to hardy producing unbootble system because of missing IDE-drivers

2008-06-05 Thread Sven Roederer
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

I just updated from gutsy to hardy, after rebooting my system wasn't able to
read the root-partition.
This is caused by the changes in the kernel-ide-driver-system. Under gutsy I
used the via82cxxx and ide-disk-driver to accesse the hdd. under hardy
pata-via and sd_mod are needed.

My current setup:
/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf

MODULES=list

/etc/initramfs-tools/modules
--
ide_disk
via82cxxx
ext3
# for changed kernel-drivers
pata-via
sd_mod

Maybe ist's not common to to use MODULES=list but at least a warning should
be displayed to the user to verify the content of
/etc/initramfs-tools/modules. An automatic conversion of the entries would be
hint, of course.

Perhaps the file /etc/modules needs to be checked / updated also.
