[Bug 288642] Re: java applets freeze firefox in intrepid
I am having this problem with an e-learning website for my university. Once I log in, some java applets try to load and it causes the same freeze. Tried switching to the IcedTea plugin, but that one doesn't run the Java applets correctly. I also tried switching to plugin2, but that brought on the freeze too. -- java applets freeze firefox in intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288642 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 147045] Re: gnome-appearance-properties hogs processor even after close
I have this bug too but I don't have a .gtkrc-2.0 file. The only .gtk* file i have is .gtk-bookmarks. My CPU usable drops as soon as I click the Close button on the window. I noticed this happened within the last day or two's updates, I saw a lot of Gnome stuff being updated. I tried adding a blank .gtkrc-2.0, and that didn't change anything. I also tried adding the same file that Steve Langasek had attached and it didn't change anything either. In the appearance panel the only thing that it seems to affect is my ability to change backgrounds. when I click on a background, it doesn't even put a selection box around it, it just sits there. Meanwhile, I can everything else, including themes, fonts and even turn compiz on and off. It's just a problem with the backgrounds. -- gnome-appearance-properties hogs processor even after close https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 132060] Re: [feisty] network-manager-openvpn doesn't work when using x509 and private key file has password
I am using Gutsy and I would like to see this functionality present in the applet as well. I really enjoy the simplicity of NetworkManager in general and the ease of configuring an OpenVPN connection is great for my users except for this little hickup. Thanks in advance for looking into it. -- [feisty] network-manager-openvpn doesn't work when using x509 and private key file has password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/132060 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 151877] Re: [Gutsy] gnome panel volume control alternates mute/% volume during sliding
Sebastien, thank you for reading this bug report. Let's see if this helps: To trigger the bug with a brand new install, just drag the volume control applet's slider up and down and watch the volume icon get muted and unmuted. I recently installed Gutsy on a Dell Optiplex GX520, and it exhibits the same problem. It seems like only certain soundcards exhibit this issue because my desktop running an nForce 2 integrated soundcard does not have this issue. If this does not explain the problem adequately, I'd be glad to help any way I can. -- [Gutsy] gnome panel volume control alternates mute/% volume during sliding https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151877 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 34247] Re: Trash always empty.
This problem is existing right now for me in Gutsy final (running the LiveCD only for now). The applet shows an empty trash while the desktop icon (added manually) shows stuff in the trash. I deleted some items from an external drive, and they show up correctly in Nautilus. I also deleted local files and the trash applet showed no trash. When you right-click on it, it still shows no trash, and there's no way to empty the trash (it's just greyed out). If you right click on the applet and select Open, it does show the trash with stuff in it. -- Trash always empty. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/34247 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 151877] Re: [Gutsy] gnome panel volume control alternates mute/% volume during sliding
I have the same problem too, I thought it was just my laptop because I don't have this problem on my desktop which has a different sound card. Running Gutsy final on a Sony Vaio PCG-K23. Never experienced this problem before with any version since 5.04. Attached you will find the output of lspci, lsmod and gnome-volume-control --gst-debug-level=3. To restate the problem, sliding the volume control from the applet causes the icon to change to mute and the mute checkbox to be checked, but sound still outputs correctly. I noticed if I open the volume control window, sliding the master volume there doesn't affect the icon on the applet or the checkbox. This only seems to happen from the applet directly. ** Attachment added: lsmod.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10062037/lsmod.txt -- [Gutsy] gnome panel volume control alternates mute/% volume during sliding https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151877 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Just wanted to add a screenshot of this bug if it's any help. Also, the dotted box can appear around the menu panel if you didn't click on any launchers. [Bug 32963] Re: totem overrides XV_CONSTRAST to wrong default value (Xv movies on i810/i945 have horrible colour/gamma)
I can confirm Mantas's assertion that this bug still exits in Feisty. I am also using an Intel i810 and I experience this issue. [Bug 32963] Re: totem overrides XV_CONSTRAST to wrong default value (Xv movies on i810/i945 have horrible colour/gamma)
Just made another little discovery. I played with the Gstreamer properties (I ran gstreamer-properties) and the issues happen when the video output is set to Autodetect or XV Intel Video Overlay (xvimagesink device=0). It doesn't happen when the setting is X11 only, or XV with Intel Textured Video (xvimagesink device=1).
