2021-09-13 Thread Tejas
> evince --version
GNOME Document Viewer 3.36.7

Can confirm that this still exists. I had this when viewing a digitally
signed document generated by https://www.docusign.com/ ( Cannot share
this pdf unfortunately )

Debug messages with `G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all`

```
Poppler-INFO: 08:35:07.796: Syntax error at position -1: Gen inside xref table
too large (bigger than INT_MAX)
Poppler-INFO: 08:35:07.796: Syntax error at position -1: Invalid XRef entry 244
Poppler-INFO: 08:35:07.796: Syntax error at position -1: Invalid XRef entry 3
is wrong type (null)
Poppler-INFO: 08:35:07.796: Syntax error at position -1: Top-level pages object
```

For the doc posted earlier by Shubhojeet Ghosh (shubhojeet-ghosh):
( Seems to be a different cause )

```
Poppler-INFO: 08:35:41.657: Syntax error at position -1: Invalid page count 0
(evince:2124716): Poppler-CRITICAL **: 08:35:41.687: PopplerPage*
poppler_page_get_size(PopplerPage*, double*, double*): assertion
```

Both these documents are opened by chrome just fine.

2014-06-02 Thread Tejas
I have a a similar problem, Switching from chrome( 35.0.1916.114) to
another workspace, the entire chrome window is still displayed, and
moving the mouse around causes icons on the desktop to get highlighted.
See attached screen shot.

Chrome-Stable ( 35.0.1916.114)
Metacity(metacity 2.34.13)
and Nvidia (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-331.79)

[Bug 1071447] Re: [bug] grep -r [ with / without piping ]

2012-10-26 Thread Tejas Barot
Hello,

Got your poing its waste of cat with

cat tejasbarot.txt | grep -r tejasbarot

But This was just a scenario, There are many other situation where we
need to put grep with pipe and with -r. So it was just a simple one
scenario but grep -r behaviour is totally unexpected.

As already mentioned, If I execute grep -r tejasbarot and don't
specify path then also it is search in Current WOrking directory this is
also not as expected.

Hope this is clear to you.

[Bug 1071447] [NEW] [bug] grep -r [ with / without piping ]

2012-10-25 Thread Tejas Barot
Public bug reported:

Hello,

1) Description: Ubuntu 12.10
Release:12.10

2) grep:
  Installed: 2.12-2
  Candidate: 2.12-2
  Version table:
 *** 2.12-2 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) grep -irn grep-text should not give any output if i do not specify path of
file, and also cat tejasbarot.txt | grep -irn tejasbarot
should not give any output if there is no matching text in tejas.txt

4)Let's say, There is one text file called tejasbarot.txt and written
text tejasbarot.com in that file, Now If I execute grep -in
tejasbarot and Press Enter it is pausing on terminal and Not executing
command,This is expected behavior.

But If I execute grep -irn tejasbarot123 without specifying file's
path it is searching in Current Working Directory and if i am search in
this way cat tejasbarot.txt | grep -irn tejasbarot123 even if its not
matching the text it is trying to search in all files of current working
directory.

So I feel that specifying -r with grep command is not providing correct
result. This is very basic package and consider as major bug of grep.

Expecting very quick fix on the same.

Thanks  Regards,

It was running normally until I did the Software up to date.
Now when I restarted my PC, Dock and panel flickers as I move my cursor over

Even while operating mouse on terminal, (right click to paste) flickering of

No, that was not intentional. I will try switching it back to analog and see if
it works and let you know.

It looks like the output (sink) was switched to HDMI. Was this intentional?
If not, switch it back to analog speakers using Sound Preferences /
Settings.

[Bug 295445] [NEW] no input password dialogue displayed

2008-11-07 Thread Tejas
Public bug reported:

I have a lenovo R61 laptop with a intel centrino processor.
Iam running ubuntu 8.04.1

uname -a returns the following line in terminal:

Linux Tejas 2.6.24-21-generic #1 SMP Tue Oct 21 23:43:45 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux

Problems I've been facing are:

1.My system has become quite slow.It takes about a minute to open
terminal!.All other applications are also taking longer than usual to
open.

2.Whenever I try to open any application which requests the password(eg.
i try to open the synaptic package manager),It gives a Starting
Administrative Application window in the lower panel (but no window is
shown on the screen).after that nothing happens.That includes most of
the things from the SYSTEM--ADMINISTRATION menu.All of them show a
Starting Administrative Application window in the lower panel.After
which nothing happens.

3.Also at the same time, I became unable to install or uninstall
anything. I can start the add/remove applications window, tell it to
reload the list of available applications, and it just sits there
spinning its wheels forever.

4.When press ctrl+alt+backsp and re login it takes about 3 min to load
the panels.But the desktop icons are displayed normally and i can open
them.
