Running "ubuntu-bug 1922306" seems to have no result unfortunately.

Is there any way I can upload the details you need manually?

[Bug 1918002] Re: [SRU] xfce4-weather-plugin 0.10.2

2021-03-06 Thread Terrance
The blog was written back on Feb 04, 2021 stating that the 1.9 will be
turned off on 3/1/2021. https://api.met.no/blog/2021-02-04-extremeswwc

One would think that if the devs knew that they were going to shut off
the 1.9 API that they would have planned ahead and already released
0.10.2 or 0.11.0 into 20.04 already resolving this issue.

Please push the release of 0.10.2 so that we can stick with the Ubuntu
release version and not installing from git or the MX release just to
get the weather plugin working again.

So, the version in the git does not work with 18.04. You can get it to
install with a work around, but the panel will not see it as being able
to add it.

Never mind, I found it. You will have to pull the git, then install it
that way. This would be nice if they push this to the repos.

In the folder of https://archive.xfce.org/src/panel-plugins/xfce4
-weather-plugin/ the latest update shows a date of 23-Feb-2020. All
versions in there do not have the correct fix in them. Just wondering
where the correct fix is then.

Re: [Bug 1872157] Re: Wouldn't install

2020-04-14 Thread Terrance E Hughes
I think this was a problem that I actually created myself. I wound up
deleting everything encluding the partitions. Created new partitions and
reinstalled and everything seems to be working mostly fine. I now have
an on again off again video driver issue that only brings up one of my
two monitors, but I haven't gotten around to fixing that one yet.

I have found that version 2.2.8 that comes with Ubuntu 18.10 works fine.
I downloaded and installed it into Ubuntu 18.04 from
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/2.2.8-5ubuntu1.2 and it asked
for login and all admin functions were working as expected.

@Marcos Teixeira Unfortunately, I was already part of the lpadmin group
before all this started. So that doesn't work.

@tio-trom Just pick any of those Debs mentioned and run `ubuntu-bug
` in a terminal window. It will then launch the browser
and create the bug for you. Add the important information and it will
add the rest.

[Bug 1778607] [NEW] Incorrect licenses listed in the GNOME Software for Snap Apps.

2018-06-25 Thread Terrance
Public bug reported:

I am using Chromium as an example right now. The license for
applications like Chromium are listed incorrectly in the GNOME Software
store. On the snapcraft.io site Chromium is listed as "Other Open
Source", but in the GNOME Software store it is listed as "Proprietary".

On a side note, is there a way to filter the Snap Apps with the plug-in
as well in the GNOME Software center?

[Bug 1769893] [NEW] Unauthorized when using Chrome browser

2018-05-08 Thread Terrance
Public bug reported:

Using Chrome Version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I am able to access and add a printer through Chrome by going to the
page http://localhost:631/admin/login and I can add a printer fine. But
I cannot add the printer if I go directly to http://localhost:631/admin
and bypass the login. If I need to change any defaults of the printer
through the same pages it gives me the "Unauthorized" and will not
change anything. I can change it in Firefox and the printers control
panel.

One way around this is to run `ssh localhost` in the terminal window
then it works.

[Bug 1542723] Re: dialog with error "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ExecFailed: Failed to execute program org.blueman.Mechanism: Permission denied" displayed after login

2016-05-26 Thread Terrance Osborn
I just had this error, and I was able to correct it.

This error is because of incorrect permissions to the dbus-daemon-
launch-helper

To fix it:

sudo chmod 4754 /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper

sudo chown root:messagebus /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper

Re: [Bug 1051935] Re: Fails with SystemError when too many files are open

2013-08-27 Thread Terrance Curry
What? it looks like this was submitted September 2012
almost a year ago..?
I have moved on ubuntu 13.04 or whatever...

But I still cannot get Wine to work well with Windows applications
like Slingbox. I cannot even use Slingbox via the web browsers under
Linux. I have to use Windows or Mac OS... which is fine with me.
Ubuntu is just for play anyway, nothing serious.

[Bug 221332] Re: The tiemu package is heavily outdated

2010-01-28 Thread Terrance Kennedy
In response to Scott Howard:

"Did you get the Debian package working on Ubuntu? I gave up on it to
handle other packages, but if you could tell us how you got the Debian
package installed, we'd appreciate it!"

After re-reading my earlier post I found I left much to clarify. The
dependency problem I was referring to was that packages tilp2 and tiemu
(often attempted to be installed together, and very related packages)
depend on different versions of libticables, libticalcs, libtifiles, and
possibly others, therefore they cannot both be installed at once. I said
that the TiEmu Debian package _seems_ to resolve this issue because it
relies on newer versions of the lib files. Upon closer inspection
however, I noticed that the versions still aren't compatible with the
tilp2 dependencies, so the problem still exists on Debian.

I have been able to compile tilp2, TiEmu, and their dependencies from
source, and found that if all the latest versions are installed, there
is no dependency issue between these programs. However, my installation
is far from being an Ubuntu package, as there are configuration problems
such as the TiEmu keyboard mapping issues discussed in another bug, and
TiLP2 by default does not have the permission to communicate with a USB
connected calculator (I'm looking into adding a proper udev rule).

My main point in relevance to this bug is that if TiEmu is updated, so
should the libti* packages it depends on. That should be a huge step
towards fixing these packages.

[Bug 221332] Re: The tiemu package is heavily outdated

2010-01-28 Thread Terrance Kennedy
Contrary to what I said earlier, perhaps merging the Debian packages
isn't the best solution.

[Bug 221332] Re: The tiemu package is heavily outdated

2010-01-21 Thread Terrance Kennedy
What's stopping this from becoming an official package? Debian has had a
package for version 3.02-1 since September 2009:

http://packages.debian.org/sid/tiemu

And the current source version is 3.03 (
http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tiemu/ ). Also, the Debian package _seems_ to
resolve the incompatible dependencies problem that's plaguing the
current Ubuntu packages, and installing the latest from source shows
that indeed this shouldn't be a problem.
