Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: samba
It appears that during an upgrade from version 9 to 10 the samba-common
install script was lost. I am a neophyte and have no idea as to how I
can correct this error - system still works despite the error.

In the end I wiped everything, reformatted, repartitioned and started
from scratch leaving only Windows on a 1T HDD (120GB). I reinstalled
Lucid from the current iso and now everything is perfect. Thanks very
much for your reply, but it was just a faulty installation I guess.

My two cdroms are missing from the fstab file (only fd0 showing) and
when I connect external USB HDD it doesn't show up and neither do the
files systems appear on the Places menu . I have got a dual boot Windows
and Lucid.10.04.
