[Bug 658046] Re: package initramfs-tools 0.98.1ubuntu6 [modified: usr/sbin/update-initramfs] failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2010-11-19 Thread The_Great_Bunghole
Well, I started the Ubuntu 10.10 Live USB flash drive like any other
person would, then once the desktop appeared, IT GAVE ME AN OPTION TO
REPORT THE BUG so that is what I did. I expected no problems, like
every other Ubuntu Live iso since 9.04 but no. So that is why I
reported the problem... Plus. Have you noticed how much slower 10.10 is
to start from USB or CD?! It is just ridiculous compared to previous
versions! That is why I reported this bug. Is that enough information?
:)

[Bug 367739] Re: cpufreq ondemand governor stuck at lowest frequency

2010-09-27 Thread The_Great_Bunghole
This bug (may) also be present on the HP Mini 311-1037nr (Intel Atom
N270 @ 1.6 GHz) I am using the current updated version of Ubuntu 10.04
LTS. I seem to have problems setting the CPU Frequency scaling with the
CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor on the panel. It lists: 800 MHz, 1.07
GHz, 1.33 GHz, 1.60 GHz.I have tried many times to set it to 1.60
GHz, but it will only stay at 800 MHz. There is a considerable speed
DECREASE when using Ubuntu vs. Windows 7. I hate windows, so I find it
hard to just switch to crap, so I have been trying my hardest to fix
this problem. I am sorry if I wasn't supposed to comment on here since
the bug has expired, but I am desperate for a fix.

[Bug 228815] Re: Gshutdown does not work properly

2010-04-15 Thread The_Great_Bunghole
G-Shutdown used to work perfectly for me on 9.04, but on 9.10 it stopped
working correctly. It just ends the session, and stays on and idle at
GDM login screen. I am pretty sure this has something to do with the new
way of logging in. I just used loeppel 's instructions and
hopefully it will work, and if it does, I will use this from now on.

[Bug 528018] Re: jamendo no listen the song.

2010-03-18 Thread The_Great_Bunghole
I have the same problem on 2 computers with Ubuntu 9.10.
I start Rhythmbox. Then Click Jamendo in the Stores section on the left. Then
try to listen to any one of the songs, and nothing works. there is an error
icon next to every song I try to listen to. (Red circle with a white line in
the middle) I can however, listen to songs in the Magnatune store. I have
tried switching to format on Jamendo from OGG (300kbps) to MP3 (200kbps), but
still no change.

** Summary changed:

- jamendo no listen the song.
+ Jamendo doesn't play any of the songs listed in Rhythmbox.

[Bug 509959] [NEW] Lubuntu 10.04 A1 - Time Date Settings: System Shutdown Immediately

2010-01-19 Thread The_Great_Bunghole
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release:10.04

To start off, this is my very first bug report, but I think it is quite a
serious one. This is the first problem I have encountered on Alpha 1 install of
Lubuntu 10.04.
I was going through the time and date settings, Authenticated to change, and
then chose Configuration: Keep synchronized with Internet servers
It proceeded to install the necessary package to make that action possible. It
installed correctly. I then selected (under: Time Servers) : Select Servers
. And then my entire system Shutdown. I do not know what might have caused
this, but my system has been running perfectly on this operating system, but it
still is in development, after all. I am not sure if I gave as much information
that I could have, but I am new to bug reports, so I hope I did. =)
