[Bug 1485955]

2018-08-25 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
This problem still exists in LO 5.3.3.2.

My opinion is, that it is very illogical and distracting that the
background button in the table toolbar sets the paragraph background
color and not the cell background color.

In this bug report in comment 2 from sophie I found in the first place
the ability to resolve this issue: That I have to select the cell first
and can then do the backgound operations with the button in the table
toolbar. It should be enough, to put the cursor in a cell to change its
background color.

I think in the table toolbar should be only functions which deal with
table- and not with paragraph-settings.

In the breeze-icon-set there should be two different icons for the
buttons for cell- and paragraph-background, too.

It would be useful too, if the functionality would be the same in
"table-toolbar -> background color" and in the table-properties-dialogue
->Background-settings.

[Bug 1281700] Re: policykit-1 is not aware of groups assigned by pam_group

2015-07-21 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
The same problem in my Ubuntu 14.04 environment. In our school we have 50
Ubuntu-clients and we are using ldap-authentication. Now we want to assign the
ldap-users to the lpadmin group to give them the possiblity to manage the
printing system (i.e. set the default printer...), but its not possible.
So this is a very annoying bug.

[Bug 789542]

2012-04-17 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 (Build-ID: 350m1 Build:202) on Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit
(installed over ppa).

I have the same problem that table borders of a Word-2007-docx-document
are not displayed correctly after opened with LO-writer. Though there is
a border in the original word2007 document, the border style in LO-
writer is displayed as 'none'.

[Bug 925836]

2012-04-02 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
On my LibreOffice 3.5.1 (on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, installed over ppa) both
workarounds don't work.
To select Create single print jobs for collated output has no effect. And if
the booklet mode is not set multiple copies of a document arent't printed, too.

2010-05-12 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
Could you please try booting adding the paramenter libata.force=noncq?

If it works, you'll have to update the bios, after that it should work
fine without that parameter.

That is the solution! Now the netbook works fine with Ubuntu 10.04 and without
any boot-parameters in grub.

Re: [Bug 563258] Re: Acer Aspire 1810T boots only with the option acpi=off

2010-04-16 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
Thanks,

Thanks, setting this back to new so that so that the kernel people
will see this. It would be helpful if you could produce a back trace,
when the system hangs press 'Alt+SysRq+1' followed by 'Alt+SysRq+t' as
explained in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingSystemCrash That
should print a trace to the terminal and hopefully also to
/var/log/kern.log

i tried this. But there was no logging on the screen and no logging to
/var/log/kern.log. I think the system cant mount the filesystem, because of the
occuring errors.

[Bug 563258] [NEW] Acer Aspire 1810T boots only with the option acpi=off

2010-04-14 Thread Thomas Bordfeldt
Public bug reported:

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 beta1 with an usb-stick on my netbook acer
aspire 1810T without any options and it all worked fine. But since the
first reboot after the installation the system doesn't start anymore. At
the start-process the system shows the following messages:

These messages are repeated for 4 times every 30 seconds, then in 9 of
10 cases the systems hangs or starts only the console in maintenance
mode.

If I set the option acpi=off in grub the system starts. But i get the
message:

Apr 13 11:59:29 nb-bordfeldt kernel: [ 17.551335] acer-wmi: No or
unsupported WMI interface, unable to load

The problem is now that the battery is not displayed and the energy
saving options for battery mode are not available.

I have the same problem in ubuntu 9.04.
