I upgraded to Lucid today, including the lirc 0.8.6-0ubuntu4.1 update, and am still seeing this problem (mis-detection of a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 remote control as a Leadtek, the remote not working and lirc_dev taking 100% CPU). I am running the -server kernel if that makes a difference.
