[Bug 1283203] Re: gjs-console crashed with SIGSEGV in g_bytes_unref()

2014-02-25 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
I was able to reproduce the crash with gjs version 1.39.90-0ubuntu1 in trusty.
The scenario is more complicated than just close the application, yet this is
the moment that crash occurs.
What I did before crash:
Scrolled through the map, zoomed in and out, switched to satellite view and
back to street view, used search to find some location, etc. just common stuff.
One of those actions together with closing is causing the crash.

[Bug 1283203] Re: gjs-console crashed with SIGSEGV in g_bytes_unref()

2014-02-25 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
Tim,
Here are the exact steps that cause crash on my machine:
1. Run gnome-maps from terminal.
2. Search for: Wielopole 1, Kraków. Hit enter.
3. Choose second result by clicking on it.
4. After it moves the map, close the application by clicking the 'x' in the top
right corner.
5. At this point I can see in terminal 'core dumped'.

Best regards,
Tobiasz

[Bug 1270500] [NEW] gnome-shell crashed with signal 5

2014-01-18 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:
1. In gnome-tweak-tool, turn on Have file manager handle the desktop option.

icon).
3. When you try to see the list of those windows (by pressing the down arrow
when Files icon is highlighted), gnome shell crashes.

[Bug 1265898] Re: thunderbird doesn't remember maximized window state in Ubuntu Gnome

2014-01-03 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
Reading comments in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=732812
I've found that the workaround for this bug is to close thunderbird with
Ctrl+Q - this saves window maximized state.

[Bug 1175504] Re: [HP Compaq nx6325 Notebook PC] suspend/resume failure

2014-01-03 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
** Description changed:

- Got this after failed suspend.
+ Last tested with kernel 3.13-rc6.
+
+ Laptop fails to suspend to RAM after being waken up from such a suspend
+ (always hangs during second suspend).
+
+ To reproduce on my laptop HP Compaq nx6325 EY349EA#AKD:
+ 1. Suspend to RAM.
+ 2. Wake up from suspend.
+ 3. Suspend to RAM again.
+ 4. During this suspend computer hangs - monitor is blank, power light is on,
processor becomes very hot so the cooler is on full speed. At this point I have
to hard reset it.

Hi Christopher M. Penalver,

[Bug 1013171] Re: Many package hooks not ported to python3

2013-12-26 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
Hi,
I see reoccurence of this bug in gnome-control-center 3.6.3 (3.6.3-0ubuntu49).
Also, there is a separate bug reported for that -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1237119
Should we mark the other one a duplicate for this one or is there another way
we want to cope with it?

Thanks,
Tobiasz

In both cases, suspend seems to work fine, but then computer doesn't wake up -
have to do hard reboot.

[Bug 1221328] [NEW] unable to change picture-options in org.gnome.desktop.background using dconf-editor

2013-09-05 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
Public bug reported:

1. Open dconf-editor.
2. Go to org.gnome.desktop.background
3. Click once on value of picture-options property to change it.
4. This is where I get my top-panel duplicated through whole screen. Upon
clicking once again, everything comes back to normal, and the value is changed.

I am attaching a picture of what happens in step 4.

Also, in terminal I see:

 experiencing this issue.
Well, for me suspend with 3.11-rc5 breaks on that box too, but with 3.10.6 it
actually works up to a VT switch that doesn't (it resumes to a black screen,
but switching to VT1 and back to X helps). A couple of other things don't
work on it with 3.10.6, sadly.

I have openSUSE 12.3 installed on it.

 Thanks,
 Rafael

I get the same behavior when using 3.10.6 and 3.11.rc5. The system fails
to suspend for the second time (first time always works fine).
When waking from the first suspend I get screen flickering and just like
you wrote, switching to VT1 and back to X helps.

I have Ubuntu Gnome 13.10.

Tobiasz dotnokato Jarczyk

I have tested it with the most recent kernel (3.11.rc5) and I am still
experiencing this issue.

As it happens I have that machine and suspend/resume works on it for me
 with 3.10.y at least.

Care to test a more recent kernel?

 Rafael

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1175504

Laptop fails to suspend to RAM after being waken up from such a suspend
 (always hangs during second suspend).

To reproduce on my laptop HP Compaq nx6325 EY349EA#AKD:
 1. Suspend to RAM.
 2. Wake up from suspend.
 3. Suspend to RAM again.
 4. During this suspend computer hangs - monitor is blank, power light is
on, processor becomes very hot so the cooler is on full speed. At this
point I have to hard reset it.

2013-08-08 Thread Tobiasz Jarczyk
Christopher M. Penalver, could I ask for your assistance with this report?
This is my first upstream kernel bug.
I've prepared a draft of a report in the kernel.org format, but I am not sure
what to put in the following paragraphs:
[5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic information
resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt)
[X.] Other notes, patches, fixes, workarounds

I'm attaching this report in .txt format. If possible, please take a
look at it and let me know if I should change anything before sending it
to the maintainers.

Thanks in advance,
Tobiasz
