@Colan I don't think that's related plus the fix for this bug hasn't
reached the updates repository yet so the fix can't be causing it.
Unless you are suggesting it's the same bug?

I see the same behaviour under 11.10 with my external monitor connected
to the VGA port of my Lenovo x200. If I disable the laptop display I get
a scrambled external monitor screen.
Under precise with the latest updates as of today, it's working fine and
the behaviour is not visible.

Hi WenLong Feng,
I have already written the patches to do this and tested them. They work well
for me and have been merged into the codebase.
Using the executable binary or wrapper doesn't make a difference, we grab the
name using gtk's g_get_prgname.
I've tested this by wrapping notes in
Hi WenLong Feng,
I have already written and tested the patches to do this and it works well from
my testing.
I know some people already run Notes with an environment variable that achieves
the same behaviour: UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0
The above option was required in Ubuntu 11.10 (Natty) since Eclipse
Hi WenLong FENG,
This patch is going to go into Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric) as a stable release
update with some other compiz patches. It will also go into 12.04 LTS.
If you want to test this one patch in the meantime, I've build a test package
for Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric)

Lotus Notes crashes the app menu
To manage notifications about this
I think the best solution for 12.04 is to blacklist Lotus Notes from the
appmenu. I've proposed a patch to do this in appmenu-gtk.
After 12.04, I think we need to do some further testing on the most
popular Eclipse/RCP based apps to uncover any underlying bugs like this
one.

Public bug reported:
= Problem =
When running Lotus Notes with the Unity app menu's enabled some sub-
menus cause the app menu to crash, which forces a reload of the
indicators and app menu. Some menus are also in the wrong order.
