[Bug 207784] Re: selinux can't be reconfigured
I also get that error when reconfigure selinux with dpkg-reconfigure. Further, selinux instalation in my system doesn't create the policy which will cause an error when booting as i describe in https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/selinux/+bug/224948 -- selinux can't be reconfigured https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 224948] Re: can't booting with selinux
** Description changed: Binary package hint: selinux When i boot into Hardy with grub modified by selinux installation, i got busybox appear in console mode. It said (initramfs) and i can do nothing. After i type 'exit' on busybox, the kernel start to panic. How do i install selinux: # sudo aptitude install selinux it will remove apparmor before the installation. I'm using the server kernel to get my 4 GB of RAM detected. This is my GRUB menu.lst: title Ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-16-server root (hd0,7) kernel/vmlinuz-2.6.24-16-server root=UUID=6630ebb5-20df-4fa2-8904-1dd1b55adf52 ro quiet splash apparmor.enabled=0 selinux=1 initrd/initrd.img-2.6.24-16-server quiet thanks for further action :) **UPDATE** + May 2th, 2008: SELinux is successfully running with generic kernel, i don't know why it doesn't on server kernel :( + + May 3th, 2008: + Just make sure that selinux run on generic kernel, but when i boot again it still fails. I don't know why my previous boot is success. + I just reboot and edit GRUB to boot without splash, i found some errors that tell me that the policy file on /etc/selinux/refpolicy/policy is not on his place. I try reinstall the selinux and browse again to /etc/selinux/refpolicy/policy but the policy still not there. I don't know why, it seems complicated than debian itself. -- can't booting with selinux https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/224948 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
