Yes, I got the sound working too. I have a fully functioning Dapper - sound and fans controlled (except for video that is a bit jerky) - simply by compiling the 2.6.16-rc5 kernel with the g5_defconfig configuration. I've posted instructions about how to get a working Dapper here:
