This is not a fix but a solution if you want to use the black cartridge. You can duplicate you printer and set its quality settings to Grayscale. I'm not sure if this has some kind of relation with my problem. When I installed Jaunty I noticed I couldn't get rid of mouse acceleration. Well, I can, but it is really slow. I solved it! I removed (and purged) sun-java runtime and azureus was also removed with it. Then I installed azureus and icedtea-java runtime was installed instead of sun-java.
