[Bug 907200] [NEW] KMail 4.7.3 fails to open any old email or to download new

2011-12-21 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
Public bug reported:

I think there was a large-ish KDE update yesterday (or close). After
that KMail fails to open any old email or to download new.

It is just sitting in:
"
Retrieving Folder Contents

Please wait . . .
"

Downloading new email from POP3 starts normally but at the end it fails
to save downloaded email.

No plans to fix it in Oneiric? Either by backporting the fix or pulling
in the whole 3.5.x version containing the fix?

[Bug 682102] Re: Brasero says "Not enough space available on the disc" even when data to be burned is well within the limits and Gnome-Baker burns the DVD all right.

2010-12-29 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
I was desperate so even tried a reboot (and power cycle) but the problem
persists. What is so puzzling is that it managed to record three DVDs
initially. With first one I had slow burning speed issue which I
resolved by fiddling with wodim and growisofs plugins priority as
documented on the web (took me some time until I found there are two
parallel configuration systems). Next two it recorded flawlessly so why
all the sudden this space issue?

I then installed k3b which works just fine.

Same problem here. It managed to record three DVDs and from then it
started giving out this error.

It's persistent over brasero restart so could be the be somewhere else?

[Bug 568288] Re: init: main process can respawn even when the job is stopping

2010-04-23 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
Or should it even respawn at all if main process has exited normally? I
guess it depends on whether you want service to ever be able to exit
without respawnig if goal is not stop.

[Bug 568288] [NEW] Upstart respawn handling seems sometimes broken

2010-04-22 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: upstart

Sometimes Upstart seems to get confused when "respawn" statement is used

Apr 22 09:39:15 ubuntu1004alpha3crescendo savd: savd.daemon: Sophos Anti-Virus
daemon started.

According to my observations this happens most of the time but not
always. Just this morning I got it to stop the service cleanly, then I
started, killed the service abnormally and after it respawned stop from
then on only respawns it. I though it may be related to abnormal killing
before, but even after fresh boot stopping the service only respawns
now.

[Bug 541023] [NEW] insserv does not work when rsync or winbind are installed

2010-03-18 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
Public bug reported:

Lucid Alpha 3 (updated to latest today).

When rsync or winbind are installed insserv fails to process any init
scripts. There is a lot of warnings outputted about LSB tags, overrides
and Upstart it all ultimately ends with:

insserv: There is a loop between service rsyslog and rsyncd if stopped
insserv: loop involving service rsyncd at depth 3
insserv: loop involving service rsyslog at depth 2
insserv: loop involving service udev at depth 1
insserv: There is a loop between service rsyncd and rsyslog if stopped
insserv: exiting now without changing boot order!

This loop problem is the real error and insserv refuses to do anything.
Getting rid of /etc/init.d/rsync or /etc/init.d/winbind makes the
problem go away and then insserv works.

[Bug 234720] Re: wrong UUID in menu.lst after upgrade to hardy

2008-06-05 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
I had the same problem with an additional twist.

My /etc/blkid.tab also contained the old UUID's so I either a) deleted
it and it got regenerated, or b) edited it to contain correct ones
(don't actually remember). But it is not important, important is that I
now just updated to 2.6.24-18 and installed package maintainers menu.lst
and there are still wrong UUID's there. I don't know from where does it
get those.. they are nowhere to be found in /etc any more so it is a
mystery to me.

Hm.. and I also migrated 7.10 to a new disk without reinstalling and
then upgraded to 8.04 before all this happened.

[Bug 152449] Re: HTTPS not working with Konqueror 3.5.8

2007-10-16 Thread Tvrtko Ursulin
It's the same for me with the latest updates. I am attaching two new
screenshots. First one is when I open the URL directly, and the second
one when I get to in steps. Only the first page I visit is then secured
with SSL.

There are no error messages in the konsole from where I started
konqueror.

When submitting this bug report initially launchpad.net gave me an error
when I tried to submit it which I suspected might be related with the
SSL problem.

I'll try removing ~/.kde ie. trying with a clean user because my $HOME
is inherited from 7.04 later today.
