the release branch of open modelica works with Ubuntu 10.10.
It is strange, that the release branch is stable, and the stable branch
is not.
The maintainer said, that the stable branch should be fixed by now, too.

The provided package is broken, compiling from source doesn't work either.

same problem here, after updating from ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10.
I am asked for the pin code now every time, I boot the computer.
This was not needed before the update.
The pin code is not stored in the gnome keyring.

Well, you can upgrade to the bios version 1.5, it has enabled VT by default.
