[Bug 1859353] Re: software-properties-gtk not working
I found the same message with journalctl, I try reinstall six and certify, it did not works. Then try to run code from requests_unixsocket docs with python3 interactive console. import requests_unixsocket requests_unixsocket.monkeypatch() r = requests.get('http+unix://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/info') assert r.status_code == 200 it can't import requests. Works again with software properties and livepatch tab after reinstall requests for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1859353 Title: software-properties-gtk not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-properties/+bug/1859353/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1879770] [NEW] Renaming interfaces using *.link file does not work
Public bug reported: Dear Ubuntu team, I wanted to use "systemd-networkd" intead of "udev" to rename network interface like this: (replace MAC by real one) echo '[Match] MACAddress=12:34:56:78:90:11 [Link] Name=myname123' | sudo tee '/etc/systemd/network/myname123.link' (and reboot) But it does not work. And it should work based on the systemd documentation. I googled the issue but I didn't find anything interesting instead that I should run "update-initramfs -u" but that didn't help. I tested that this doesn't work both on Ubuntu Desktop 20.04 and Ubuntu Server 20.04. [Bug 1788553] [NEW] evolution's maillist dispay error when contains Chinese or Japanese
Public bug reported: Hi, there is a small bug bothering me long time. I use evolution under Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, the mail lists do not well displayed when there contains Chinese or Japanese. Ideally, the text of mail list should be in center in vertical direction each row, and it does so when there is only English. But once the text contain Chinese or Japanese, the text moves down and its bottom part will not display. Please see my attachment. Firstly,I thought it might be a evolution bug, so I filed a bug here,[bugzilla bug id 796437](https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=796437) ,but the developer can't reproduce this bug on Fedora, so he didn't solve my problem. After that,I tried all themes shipped with Ubuntu 18.04 and some third- party themes to see if it helps, nothing changes. Also, due to the developers who use Fedora say he can't reproduce the bug, I tried Manjaro Gnome in virtualbox too,no problem observed, both default themes and third-party themes. So, maybe it is Ubuntu's setting which cause this bug in summary. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "screenshot about maillist" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788553/+attachment/5179559/+files/Screenshot+from+2018-08-23+13-48-30.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788553 Title: evolution's maillist dispay error when contains Chinese or Japanese To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1788553/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The situation is even worse on my 13 inch laptop, with resolution 1920x1080. [Bug 1751075] Re: Xorg freeze when use mpv or cheese.
Hello Christopher, thanks for your replying. Actually I am using it after failing with ubuntu 17.10. I have to use non-default kernel parameters, or my laptop will not boot at not. the screen will freeze with the "PCIe bus error" message. With these parameters, the laptop may be successful to boot. But still, sometime fails.Once it boot successful, the mpv is OK, the problem is gone. BTW,I am using the official kernel 4.15 now. What can I do further. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1751075 Title: Xorg freeze when use mpv or cheese. [Bug 1751075] [NEW] Xorg freeze when use mpv or cheese.
Public bug reported: I have my new laptop, Lenovo 720s-13ARR shipped with the latest Ryzen 5 2500U, installed Ubuntu 17.10, it seems everything works except Wifi and GPU. After changing the wifi card with Intel 8265 and manually upgrading kernel with M-bab's build from 'https://github.com/M-Bab/linux-kernel-amdgpu-binaries'. Wifi and Gpu are working. But if I use mpv playing a video, when I try to resume the window from fullscreen, the screen freezes. Same thing happens when I use cheese, the camera app. Nothing I can do except a hard poweroff. After suffering that couple of times, I started to look for solutions from Internet. There are many error messages I can see if I use 'dmesg -l err' in the terminal. I cannot solve most of them, only use pci=noaer in the grub to suppress the "PCIe bus error", which keep increasing my "/var/log/kern.log" file size hundreds MB per hour before. One more thing, if I start a reboot, the laptop might have a random hang on ubuntu logo screen. To avoid this, I have to poweroff first, then press power button to implement a 'reboot'. No idea for me in which part problem should be responsible for these failures.
