[Bug 995864] Re: Network indicator's menu doesn't work properly !
I have the same problem in my desktop. I only have an Ethernet card. The card itself works fine, but the entries in the network-manager's menu, containing my VPNs do not appear. Everything was working fine before the upgrade to 12.04. If I kill nm-applet, and re-run again, the VPN menus appear. Please, let me know if I can provide more information that helps to fix this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995864 Title: Network indicator's menu doesn't work properly ! [Bug 864037] Re: workspace switcher zoom failure with multiple monitors
I also have the same problem. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 with an NVIDIA graphic card. I am running Oneiric 11.10 64-bits with the latest upgrades installed (only using official repositories). I found this other bug which might be a duplicate of this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/839548 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/864037 Title: workspace switcher zoom failure with multiple monitors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/864037/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 819904] Re: Shutdown doesn't works in live session
I have a similar problem. I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and now the shutdown button in the top right menu does not work anymore. Right now, instead of shutting the system down, it just logs me out. After that, if I try to shutdown in the login screen, nothing happens. So, in the end, I need to use the command line to shut the system down. Is there any file that contains the commands invoked when I click on an entry in the top right menu? I could try to have a look there and see if something is wrong. [Bug 712103] Re: unlocking dialog doesn't show
I also have the same problem as Espen. If the monitor goes to standby mode, when I want to use again the computer the password dialog does not appear. However, it is there since I can enter the password and after doing that, I have access to the computer (the screen is completely black, but I can close music program by pressing alt+F4, for instance). I also notice how the mouse icon changes depending on whether I am on a browser link, etc. Killing gnome-screensaver from the console does not help for me. I need to restart gdm, so it is quite annoying. I am using Ubuntu 11.04 with the latest upgrades applied (I am using only official repositories from Ubuntu). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/712103 Title: unlocking dialog doesn't show -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 572957] Re: screen resolution changes when log out or change user
After upgrading to Ubuntu 10.10, I still have this problem. Are there any news related to it? I was also wondering why this bug has low priority. I understand it's not a kernel panic, but if Ubuntu wants to be an easy-accessible OS, bugs like this one should not happen. They make Ubuntu look very amateur. If there is any way I can obtain more information (through logs, debugging, etc.), please let me know and I will try to submit as much information as necessary in order to fix this problem. [Bug 475845] Re: delay on printing dialog in evince
@ThomasNovin I also lose all the printers when I try the workaround given in comment #29. I do not have any experience with IPv6, but I checked the output from sysctl -A and looked into /etc/hosts. It seems as if IPv6 is not disabled in my system, as there are these 3 lines: net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 0 net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 0 net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 0 and /etc/hosts contains references to IPv6: # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback fe00::0 ip6-localnet ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix ff02::1 ip6-allnodes ff02::2 ip6-allrouters ff02::3 ip6-allhosts However, I am not sure if that means that IPv6 is enabled. If IPv6 is enabled, then there is indeed something else preventing workaround #29 to work properly.
